Got my notice today for an appointment on 5/22/13. Went to the office around 2pm. No one was there! Security was a breeze. Walked into the actual office and there was one lady there filing out paperwork. The asked if I had an appointment letter, to which I said yes and handed it to them. No one asked about why I'm doing a walk in early. Lady took me to the back and did all the fingers and took my picture. Everything from start to end probably took 5 minutes. Well worth it! Staff was excellent. Now I sit and wait and wait and wait some more lol.

how's everything goodbar?

I had my biometrics yesterday at the Las Vegas office. Our 'Satnav" lost GPS signal as we entered Vegas so we ended up temorarily lost and arrived 15 minutes late. A security guard was meeting and greeting people outside the building (110 degrees of sunshine by the way!) and asked to see my appointment letter and I.D. also my wife's I.D. (very important if your spouse is with you . . no I.D. and she/he don't get to enter the building) We had to go through metal detectors and empty possessions in a tray for x-ray (airport like security) then entered the biometrics office. I handed my letter and passport over and had a short form to complete then got called straight up for prints and photo. In and out in 10 minutes. Once outside we saw that the security guard was turning people away without appointments and even turning people away who were EARLY for their scheduled appointments . . " Wait outside here or come back in 15 minutes" . . so, my friends . . beware if you're going to Las Vegas for biometrics. They don't accept casual walk-ins or early arrivals . . I felt lucky to not get turned away for being late!!!! Oh . . one other thing . . cuts on your fingers . . I have a cut just above the first joint on one finger and they scrutinized it before agreeing to go ahead. . something about 'infection control' . . I was made to cover it with a band aid. Anything below that first joint and it would have been a 'No go' situation. The prints are taken for the whole finger from the first joint down to the tip.

Well ... I guess this answers the question I posted in the other thread ... haha!

You may want to consider adding your location to this list:

I wish someone would update for the Bakersfield office.

Now on to the hurry up n wait phase, goodbar smile.png
