Hi.

We recieved two receipt numbers today. One for the EAD and one for the fingerprint fee. My question is what about a receipt number for the AOS? Am I suppose to get one for that and if so is it normal for it not to come at the same time as the other ones?

As this is not a K-1 process I have moved the topic to the AOS forums.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You don't get a receipt number for the "fingerprint fee." What do you mean?

Yes you should get more letters, but sometimes the letters are delayed.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Welcome to the forum.

We received a Form I-797c receipt for the I-485 (AOS) application (different MSC number), which contained the payment information for the application/petition fee of $985 , and the biometrics fee of $85, for a total of $1070 (per person). A second Form I-797c receipt for the I-131 (AP) application (different MSC number), with zeros in the payment information area, and a third Form I-797c receipt for the I-765 (EAD) application (different MSC number), with zeros in the payment information area. We received a total of six I-797c receipts, three for my wife's AOS/AP/EAD applications/petitions, and three for my stepson's AOS/AP/EAD application/petitions. They all showed up within a couple of days of each other, in separate envelopes. All of them had the same notice date.

You will find that you will receive quite a few Form I-797c's, we later received 2 more (1@) for the ACS Appointment Notice (Biometrics appointment), subsequently we received 2 more (1@) for the AOS interview appointment.

Finally, we received 2 (1@) Form I-797's AOS Approval, "Welcome to the United States of America" notices. :dancing:

The postman will certainly know that you are dealing with USCIS by the time you get through with the AOS process. yes.gif

Good luck, and keep watching your mailbox.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

There's no "fingerprint fee" receipt number. Check the letter again. As you applied for EAD and AOS, my guess is that the "fingerprint fee" letter is your AOS NOA.

Case numbers start with MSC.
