When to send I-864 and IV package to NVC

Hi everyone,

About a week ago I paid the $88 AOS processing fee, and this week I got an email with a notice to pay the $230 Immigrant Visa fee. I've paid both fees now (although the $230 is still "processing"). After I paid the $230 fee, I also got a cover sheet for what I believe is for the IV forms.

I have to wait on a few documents (police cert., military records) before I can send in the IV forms, but can I send in the I-864 now? If so, do I use the same cover sheet? Or do I have to wait for them to send something else?

Thanks!

If the AOS bill shows Paid or In Process, and the payment has cleared your bank, send the I-864 now, with its own cover sheet. When you're at the payment portal, click on the line for the AOS bill, and the buttons at the bottom of the screen will give you the documentation for that bill. If you click on the line with the IV bill, the buttons will reflect the documentation for the IV bill. Only send the AOS cover sheet with the AOS. Only send the IV cover sheet with the IV packet.

Thank you. I guess I didn't think to click on the line for the bill to see the documents, although this makes perfect sense now! lol Thanks for your help.
