AOS-does it depend on where u live

Hi Everyone!

I was just going throught the AOS timelines and noticed that the applicants from the west coast and south seem to get their approvals faster and with an interview...

does every one from the east coast get transffered...in which case it takes foreever...and there is no interview

could someone shed some light on this.. if u happen o know...

It does depends on each local USCIS offices. Some are busier than others, and so yes, cases may get transferred and be waived from an interview. Not everyone from the east coast get transferred though, it's making a too quick assumption.

This works only for AOS from K-1. People adjusting from another visa get automatically an interview.

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...
