BPI and CFO (NBI) questions

Hi everyone!

We got our MNL# today!!! Joan is running around all day (poor girl)...first on line at 3:30 to renew her NBI now leaving an internet cafe to get money to go to BPI to pay the visa. She forgot her pasport but I assume that BPI will just assign a different number for the receipt...am I right?

Her NBI will be released on June 5th. We are hoping for a June 10 interview so that will work (we will be in Cebu but they said that her sister could get the NBI for her and we will see her before the interview. Here is the potential problem. I am hoping to do the CFO on May 30 or May 31. Joan has her October NBI (top half) which "SHOULD" be good for a year. Will that be an issue...or are we at the whim of the CFO?--Oh wait...I just double checked...really? No need for the NBI for the CFO?

NBI is good for a year but its better to have something recent on-hand, is she done with her medical?

She is doing the medical on Tuesday-Wednesday next week!

The payment for the visa at BPI requires a deposit receipt that you print off the embassy website, I believe that has the number that will be used throughout.

As for the NBI, nope CFO hasn't started to ask for that........... yet.

i would say, play it safe.cfo asked for nbi even before.. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/359121-requirements-for-cfo-seminar/

also nbi can be used as valid ID.

No idea what happened...the receipt she sent me has nine digits but somehow 15 showed up when she printed it!!!! You've got me! She is going back to the cafe...

wait for the more experienced ones (like Hank ) to reply to your query about the receipt number. As far as i know, when i paid at BPI (that was for a tourist visa application in 2010), they asked for my passport. maybe that is the number they are asking for....passport numbers are only 9 digits. But like i said, wait for the others' input because it may have already changed now. Good luck:)

Thanks. Hank replied that this receipt would carry through the whole process. I have no idea how a 9 digit receipt number printed out as a 15 digit number, but Joan has a new correct one now and is heading back to the bank...Hope to schedule the interview tomorrow morning!

that is good to know. I checked the website for the deposit slip too coz i got curious. it is a different number than the passport number alright and is really 9 digits. i am glad your fiancee was able to get the correct one now. Cheers:)

1 week bec my name is a hit. if not, should be 1 day only.. im asking because i dont know if there is something wrong with nbi again... last time i ordered, i paid thru gcash in globe center..then registered online at nbi's page.. then booked an appointment thru text.. i chose Robinsons galleria...far from Bulacan though..im in QC.im just thinking if nbi has some changes and takes 1 month to get nbi again, then i should get mine sooner too.hummm

also, when i got mine at Galleria, it only took me 5mins! i went directly to step 3 for fingerprint and picture taking.. i went there 2pm..i hope nbi didnt make changes this time...
