...so that means there is a high chance that my fiancee and/or the other boy could get it. Would this affect the medical appointment (planning to go to St Luke on the 14th)?

Some do and some don't get infected even with close contact. For one, the infected kid will be out of the time period to transmit to others by that date( so medical could still hold). All things being equal, that should save you guys the money for vaccine since he already got the disease.

The medical fee is INCLUSIVE of ALL the vaccines on SLEC list. Regardless how many vaccines they'll give you, you will NOT be charge extra, including the vaccine for chicken pox. :-)

Isolate the boy who has chicken pox, for the mean time, so he won't spread it to your other family members. Bring him to a pediatrician and wait until he is completely healed before you bring him to SLEC.

Well, here's an update, and future reference for others...

No one else got the chicken pox, and the son that got it was fine by the time of the medical appointment, but...they are having both boys come back on May 31 for the TST and immunizations. They want to ensure the other boy did not get the chicken pox and that the TST is not compromised.

Very Grrrr, since this means: delaying the embassy interview until after the medical is complete, as well as all the expenses of travelling to and from Manila and accommodation again, X 3...$$$$.... ranting33va.gif

Thanks a lot CSC and USCIS for delaying the application approval, had it been approved close to the 5 month goal (hell, even 6, or 7 months), none of this BS would be happening. They will remain on my short-list that I carry with me.protest6wz.gif
