Hello all-

I am the US spouse of an Algerian national and wish to visit Algeria. Going over the requirements in order to obtain a visa, I am unsure of what entails a "notarized sponsorship letter signed by the Algerian spouse" listed by the local DZ Embassy. Is there a particular template to use? I thank you in advance for reading my post.

Thank you MedRoni for your reply. I presumed that the invitation letter was not the same as a sponsorship one, and that this was only required for spouses visiting (not friends, fiancees, etc.).

When I received the invitation letter from my father in law, it had his name and said he would be responsible for me and even medically. he wrote down the adresss where i'd be staying at and the purpose of my visit, he also wrote his birthdate. then a signature. IT MUST BE NOTARIZED IN ALGERIA

What country does your spouse reside in? Only asking bc you're married yet it seems you've never been to Algeria. The procedure is a bit different if he is outside of Algeria.

Hello, While there isn't a specific template there are specific documents and information you need. Your SO needs to send you an invitation, a document called a hebergement

which is something like a letter of support and the application. You need to include your full name, address, passport number and DOB. Your SO needs to include his full name, address, Carte d'nationalite ID number and passport number. The person who owns the place youi'll be staying in needs to file for this .. like if your SO lives with his parents his father who owns the home will need to send this for you. Any more info, I'm happy to help. PM me or look me on FB
