Getting everything ready for our interview next month. I front loaded our I130 with ALOT of evidence (lots of photos, photocopies of practically everything we did together in regards of receipts, plane tickets etc). Should I bring even MORE evidence?

Have you established any shared finances (bank accounts, mortgage/lease, utilities, insurance bills/specified beneficiaries, wills in each other's favor, registered as spouses with each other's work, custody arrangements of any children)?

When NVC schedules an interview after your case has been completed with them, is the email they send you immediate or can you find out the interview date sooner by calling?

My wife was given my interview date over the phone in the morning, and we received the notification via e-mail some 8 hours later.

In that case, I'm not going to waste hours on the phone with NVC waiting on hold. 8 hours difference in finding out is nothing. Thanks guys!

We found out approximately 2.5 hours earlier by calling - I spoke with NVC at around 11 am and the e-mail arrived at 1:30.

I had been worried all along that the e-mail was going to arrive a week later (as it did for all the other steps), but nope, this one came the same day. But still, by calling, I got a little jump on calling the travel agent and searching for airfare! Plus by calling them and bugging NVC, I just felt more like I was doing something. Or I could have just trusted that they would send me a message.

BTW, I was also obsessively checking the CEAC status site to see if the status chanced from "At NVC" ... mine STILL hasn't changed and I'm pretty sure I tracked the package arriving at the embassy last week. Seems like some people's statuses change to "in transit" or something else after the interview is scheduled but not ours, at least not yet.

Darn..was so hoping to be included in this list a month ago -now it's not likely I'll need to wait some more.

Perhaps next month....SURE HOPE SO!!!!!!!!

They will accept the old I-864. They typically do accept older versions of updated forms. It won't matter.

You're sorted. Take copies of stuff to the embassy, answer four questions, have a pint with civilservant there...

A pint sounds good, actually make that a few lol..... Heard that there are some decent pubs around there too, that's were I'll be heading afterwards...

I've got copies of everything I sent to NVC, plus a joint bank statement & a copy of my husbands 2012 tax return.

Not much else I can do........

But her appointment is on the 10th... Oh. Right. Yours is on the 12th, my husband's is on the 14th. I'm glad I'm not the one who hs to show up. Ditz city!!!
