DO NOT DELETE: ***USE MOST RECENT LIST AT THE BOTTOM***

Instructions:

If you want to share your case complete and interview dates:

1. Go to LAST PAGE or before and click "Quote/Reply" on the MOST RECENT LIST.

2. Ask for help only if you will mess up the list

3. Please make sure you are using Rich Text Editor as your message setting(Settings>Posting Settings->Enable visual (RTE))

4. Remove

(top and bottom) around the list by clicking back space just before "do not delete"

5. Always use [Courier New] Font. (It will stay lined up correctly if you use the correct font.)

6. Add in order by NVC case complete date.

7. Add the date you received your interview date so others can see from case complete to assignment time-frame.

How much time does it take for the interview date to scheduled after noa2 ... I know we have to mail those packages to Nvc n then they will give u a nvc no n all .. Plz someone just give a rough estimate how many months it might based on your experiences ... Coz my noa2 has still not come I'm a September filer .. I don't have anything to do right now so I'm planning to take up a sas clinical research course which is of 2 months .. Someone plz help I'm going nuts sitting at home :( ... I was going through timelines n saw that it took 4 months for some n two for some .. Two months was the shortest period I guess ..

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

from NOA 2 to interview? no one can really give an accurate estimate as so many factors come to play like:

*Your file does not get to NVC quick, some take few days, some two weeks and I have sesen some 6 weeks!!!!!

*getting the case number after your case arrives widely varies for so many people.

some of these factors are controllable while some are not. then after your case gets completed by NVC , how free or backloggged is your embassy? since NVC schedules your interview based on availabilties given by the embassies.

A regular case(no delays) could pretty much be done with NVC under 1 month and be on queue for interview which could be another 3-6weeks to get the notice depending on the embassy.

from NOA 2 to interview? no one can really give an accurate estimate as so many factors come to play like:

*Your file does not get to NVC quick, some take few days, some two weeks and I have sesen some 6 weeks!!!!!

*getting the case number after your case arrives widely varies for so many people.

that USCIS stage is the hardest part of waiting (IMO) cos you do not 'control' what goes on unlike he NVC that once they receive ur file, you can decide ur timeline there to some extent.

In my case it took LESS time from NOA1 to NOA2 than from NOA2 to interview date, which is just messed up for the UK.

I just heard from a K1 filer whose fiance is from Northern Ireland as well. They chose to file through Dublin instead of London, as is the treaty right of people born and resident in Northern Ireland. Folks, if you are in the same situation (dual citizenship), PLEASE make sure you filed your forms using the correct passport and specifying the correct embassy for the country in which you want to be processed. We did, they evidently didn't, and now they want to correct matters. I imagine it is possible, but I honestly don't know whether they caused themselves delay.

I was almost in the same situation as you. we wedded in Sept and I left Nigeria oct 15th. Came back to school and job and also PREGNANT. Before the pregnancy, we had planned i would return In Feb.

Ultimately, my opinion is that it depends on challenges (red flags) and what you have going for you like

* how long before wedding did you know each other? we had known for about 8months by our wedding.

* what is the age difference between you guys? he is older by 7yrs(very early 40s and me mid 30s).

*any cultural difference? we are both Igbo

*WHEN DID YOU GUYS MEET AND HOW MAY TIMES BEFORE THE WEDDING DID YOU VISIT HIM?( very important to overcome your absent of recent visit). I visited twice within a one year period; first time to meet him(in FEB) and then to have the wedding( in late AUGUST) which I stayed abt 6weeks. your husband NEEDS to know your visit dates and duartion too.

*did you FRONTLOAD additional proof to NVC like pics and other evidences. it most times eliminates the need to grill the applicant too much that day. if not, then make sure you get him proof of you beingin school for all those semesters.

*have you previously petitioned or has he been petitoned before by someone else? in our case, NO.

At the interview, the CO DID ask him why I havent visited again and he enswered that I am heavily pregnant. in your case, you guys could state you both decided for you to focus in advancing in your school program as much as possible so that when he comes in, you can both devote better time to each other ( you could omit the financial part or not stress that as the major reason cos you need to be able to support him).

You guys should remind yoursleves on other intimate and 'little' information likle where you live, what

job you do, etc. if he does well in answering those questions, the gap in visit should not be a problem.

In answer we have known each other for 5 years beore the wedding since March 0f 2007 and then we got married July 2012.

Before the wedding we were together i.e we lived together from 2007 to December 2009 when I came over to the US.( I am a US citizen by birth)although I grew up in Nigeria.Since I came in 2009 the first time I went home was for the wedding although we pages of phone records from 2011 showing we have been communicating. Prior to 2011 I used calling cards precisely ( Nigeria DC).lol

We front loaded with about ten pictures of our wedding which i guess is not a lot but like you said I am in the process of getting my official transcript from my school including a letter saying I was in school for those semesters.

I am studying to be a nurse and the program is very intensive as I m in my last year before I graduate.

Nobody has ever filed for him and none of us have been married before either

We didnt want to mention the filling part either because I sponsored him myself with no co sponsor. I have been working ffull time and going to school full time up until this year when I decided to concentrate on my school and this has affected me financially.

We received our interview date on May 1st 2013(smiling but like other VJers. I knew of our date April 30th coz I kept calling and calling lol )

Please I would like any contribution from any vjers including ndu n dwheels.
