I still feel they sent all the transferred files to NRC instead of NVC that's why things are lost after approvals. You should have received all this ages ago and it seems your not the only one ritually all the transfers have the same complaints.

They haven't even transferred my case according to the USCIS Immigration officers. It's still at TSC. The mailing of the approval notice is a glitch apparently, that happened without it being really sent out, and since it was indicated in the system, it never got sent as it was flagged as sent.

Basically it looks like TSC is f*cking stuff up left and right because they're so unfamiliar with the process.

Exactly!! And now it's going to take extra time to get to NVC no wonder there is a huge backlog at NVC. The staff really still learning at tsc they just aren't familiar with the process of I-129f.

We just got our approval, and the NOA2 hardcopy in the mail yesterday. In the letter, it stated our case was forwarded to the local embassy (Vancouver) -- no mention made of NRC or NVC. Do you think I should be calling the embassy in Vancouver and finding out what they know/have with regards to our file? Should I try downloading "packet 3" on my own? Things have moved along quickly since our approval a week ago, so I sure don't want to be delaying anything -- or having anything getting lost after my approval.

I would give it the two weeks before calling. They are only going to tell you it oiled take up to 8 weeks. There's still a few people here that have passed the 3 weeks mark still waiting on the case number.

But it's good cos your getting there so yes get your forms together and all the financial support papers.

They might say it's going straight to the embassy but it never does. It's going via NVC. Your best bet will be after a week or two, like Nurseling says, to ring the Department of State to get your case number so you can book medicals and such.

Fair enough. I've waited long enough up to this point, I can wait a little longer to get the case number . I am off to the police station today to order my criminal record check, as that's at least one thing I can do while I'm waiting to hear from the embassy. In the mean time I am having my fiance collect the necessary forms to go with the I-134 "Affadavit of Support". I thought we already supplied this in our original K1 filing, but I guess we have to prepare a duplicate set of information again, this time for the embassy interview.

This seems redundant to both of us, but of course if the embassy is asking for it we will submit it... it just seems that we are re-submitting items that we have already included (save for the police check, which I'm off to get this morning).

I see what you mean now. I guess you submitted stuff they didn't want at that stage. However the case they have what you submitted with the initial application but you will need that stuff again only a updated one. E.g if your getting a letter from his work place it needs to be current. Tax return forms need to be current, pay stubs need to be current as well. Then you need to still fill out the i134 as well.

The DS forms I don't imagine you would have had that in your initial application right? They also need to be completed. Also check on Montreal embassy site to see what additions they require from you. I know London wants DS-156'ds-156k, DS-157 and DS-230. And when ready to interview they require DS-2001 checklist.

Hey we received our NOA1 on May 29th but have had heard nothing yet apart from an email saying the petition had been moved to another office. Seems like a lot of other filers in that month are way ahead????

If that is the case, then some of us should be hearing very quickly indeed, though I can't see it happening.
