If it comes to that then maybe i'll just accept it but i hope not though. But sometimes things happen for a reason, not filing resignation until this is all done. Can't imagine how i would feel if i'm home and going through all this process. Thanks for always answering our queries and keeping this thread up and running. We all can do this.

Your more than welcome. Please keep us updated with your progress when you call them.

VanjaL,

That is frustrating. But if you haven't received an RFE I'd honestly be quite surprised if you would be getting one at all. We filed early May (first week) and got our RFE August 1, and then approved August 28. What service center is your K1 being processed at -- California, Texas, or Vermont? We were processed through California Service Center. Don't worry, your good news is on its way!!

Thank you for your kind words.

Our case is being processed at California Service Center, but if I read the case status on our ISCIS account correct, it seems there's been no touch since May 21, when my Alien Registration Number was changed.(filed 14th, NOA1 16th)

Not sure if this means that noone has looked at it at all?

We've called but are simply told to wait.

Hi everyone,

As it took just under 2 weeks for our RFE to be processed and approved I thought I'd share with you something I did that I felt helped push my case forward.

We were notified of our RFE on August 2nd, sent our response on the 12th and it was processed and under review on August 19th, then approved on August 30th.

During this period I called twice, once If I remember correctly was right before we responded to the RFE on August 12th and the second time was August 26th. Both time I told the tier 2 officers that we would really appreciate it if the case would be processed and approved quickly because we had two specific dates chosen for the wedding. Both times the tier 2 officers signaled not to worry and that things would be processed.

Perhaps we just got lucky and were processed quickly, or sent in a really good RFE response, but maybe stating that we have specific upcoming dates picked out for the wedding helped.

Something for everyone to think about.

Best of luck to everyone!

I have called several times and asked for a tier 2 officer and both times I was told that I was within processing time and couldn't be transferred. then given the whole wait and see speech. how were you able to get transferred to a tier 2 officer

I have noticed that my anticipated adjudication date is now being pushed back....sucks!!!

I think I've spoken with a tier 2 officer 5 times now.

Generally I call with a specific question in mind that I know the USCIS customer service can't answer since they just read what's on the website, then I ask for a tier 2 officer for "more detailed information". The very last time I called on August 26th, the USCIS representative verified my information like they always do and then asked "how may I help you today?" And I simply said, "I would like you to transfer me to a tier 2 officer". And she transferred me.

I never had to be pushy or anything, was just calm and polite and wanted answers and asked to be transferred and was transferred.

The notice sent says our file has been forwarded to the consulate -- my fiance (US citizen & petitioner) has the hardcopy so I don't know all that it says. Just remember as hard as this is now, the reward is being with your loved one FOREVER!!
