This is why I contacted the Ombudsman about those of us stuck at VSC and who haven't been transferred - hell, when Blakcajun rang VSC, they told her they hadn't made a decision on whether to transfer us or not, which is simply not good enough. They've had plenty of time to make that decision and they're now messing around. Regardless, the Ombudsman has passed my concerns onto a manager there who will get in contact with USCIS.

While some of the old timers here may disagree with this course of action, I do urge anyone who is stuck at VSC to make your voices heard and contact the Ombudsman. Give them your receipt number too so they know we're not just complaining for the hell of it. Eventually they will either transfer us, or they'll start sorting out approvals quicker.

Not sure if you're aware of this:

Redirecting Form I-129F

Starting the week of July 29, 2013, USCIS began redirecting all newly filed Forms I-129F from the VSC to the TSC. The receipt notice will bear a TSC receipt number beginning with “SRC”. The case will be processed by the TSC. The CSC will continue receiving Forms I-129F.

USCIS will post additional Web updates to inform customers of any future workload realignments.

It's simple decision to make. If they are no longer able to process I-129f then they should transfer all files not just some. The logic they use is illogical. On the upside its good you have stated your concerns. Yes like you said the nov dec black hole might be what this situation ends up turning into if no one says anything.

Yes, and if you actually read the posts regarding my complaint to the Ombudsman you'll see I mention that all petitions past that date are automatically re-routed at the introduction of the complaint. It's been going on longer than July too, in fact closer to the tail end of May. But there are a small group of us who have not been transferred or processed as if we're stuck in a black hole. That is what the Ombudsman has been contacted about.

It is not a case of "OMG APPROVE ME NOW". I can wait until October if needs be so I'm within processing times. It's a case of "We don't want to be in a black hole and forgotten". And the fact that VSC have basically up to this point shrugged their shoulders and said "we don't know if we'll transfer or process ourselves, we can't decide" is not good enough. It is akin to leaving some of us May filers in the black hole I keep mentioning.

"What's yours is mine!"

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here because of the RFE, so it looks like I have some reading to do to catch up on VSC transfers to TSC?

Just to update mine, got RFE on August 2nd, mailed back to USCIS on August 12th and was processed and is now listed as "Request for Evidence Response Review". They also stated in capital letters that it is being processed at the VERMONT SERVICE CENTER. So I'm going to assume that it means I don't have to worry about the confusion about being transferred to TSC...

I've been trying to see how long an approval/denial takes after responding to the RFE and it seems like it generally takes 2-3 weeks so lets hope that holds true!

How's everyone else holding on?

I'm wondering why my case doesn't specify where is being processed. It only says "at a local USCIS office". I called two weeks ago and they couldn't tell me witch office was processing my case either.

What's up with that? I feel like calling again... It was last transferred on 8/9/13

Hello Lux44,

We received notification of an RFE on August 1st, but didn't realize we had it until about a week later. We submitted our reply on or around August 8th, with CSC stating they received our reply as of August 19th. On August 28th we got our approval (NOA2)... so I guess for us it took 9 days from the day CSC said they received it (though it was actually more like 2 weeks, since my fiance took our RFE reply to our lawyer and it was overnighted).

I don't know what the wait will be like for you in VSC -- ours seemed to get approved pretty quickly out of California (we were told it could take up to 60 days and it took 9 days). Fingers crossed for everybody stuck at the VSC or lost through the transfer to TSC. It's a tough journey, but no matter how long and arduous this process is, being with our fiancés/fianceés will be worth it!!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here because of the RFE, so it looks like I have some reading to do to catch up on VSC transfers to TSC?

Hey Lux welcome back

Glad you managed to get that rfe off to them. Hate to bare bad news but there was a case amongst my group still in the same phase you described after sending their reply back. Here's the case number check it out. EAC1390315747. This person has had a status of on July 11th 2013, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. In bold capital letters. I would seriously not wait to hear from them I would call them every day and harass them.

If it was California service center I would have said with no doubt that they process their rfes on time few weeks usually. But this is Vermont we are talking about here. Pls keep calling them.
