I called USCIS again and was told they still have two months to process me but legally they can hold my petition for up to 11 months!!! she also stated that it is not certain if VSC will process the remaining petitions or transfer them later and that I will find out when a decision is made

It made me feel sad when I read this, I hope we get approval very soon. I used to be very positive since the beginning of this journey but I think I have to accept that fact that we cant be together this year. Anyway, we have to win in this game.

BEST DAY EVER!!! After eagerly waiting, and checking multiple times today, here's what was on the USCIS website as of 8:20pm:



On August 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Applied for Naturalization based on 3-year Residency 

July 05, 2017 (Day 00) -  Submitted N400 Application, filed via USPS to Phoenix Lockbox

July 10, 2017 (Day 05) - NOA received

July 12, 2017 (Day 07) -  Check is cashed by USCIS

Keep the faith! We JUST received notice of our approval tonight from USCIS. After having some doubts about how long it would take, we finally got the great news we'd been longing to hear. It'll be no time before you get the news you hope to hear!! Think happy thoughts :)

It made me feel sad when I read this, I hope we get approval very soon. I used to be very positive since the beginning of this journey but I think I have to accept that fact that we cant be together this year. Anyway, we have to win in this game.

That last part there is not good enough. I'll add that to my complaint to the Ombudsman.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Firstly, thank you for your prompt response. I hope that the manager in question will be able to assist those of us stuck at the Vermont Service Center. That being said, I would like to add some further information which may help. Having written to one of the other beneficiaries waiting for a decision, she was told tonight by a Tier 2 ISO at the service center, and I quote: " that it is not certain if VSC will process the remaining petitions or transfer them later and that I will find out when a decision is made."
I am sure you agree that such indecisiveness is going to unduly hold up petitions at the Vermont Service Center and keep families (and potential families for that matter) from reuniting and spending the rest of their lives as productive members of American society, which as I understand it is part of the President's policy or plan on immigration reform. I would ask as an addendum that you pass this information on to the manager in question so they can raise this with USCIS as well.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

I received the message on Thursday, but have been so busy with the start of school, (just started work as a teacher), for those of you still waiting don't lose hope!!!!It will happen soon! I will keep you all in my prayers!

what's taking them so long on approving an rfe response!?!?!protest6wz.gif i was expecting it this week..but i notice most of the CSC filer under rfe are not being touch yet.was really hoping to be with him before thanksgiving..cray5ol.gif

I hear you.. They can take up to 60 days for NOA2 after RFE. Earliest I have seen is 9 days. Dont lose hope. CSC received our RFE on 26th Aug.

For those who have been approved... Yippeee.. Congrats!!!!

For those who are still waiting.. Please dont give up yet. It breaks my heart to see you guys/gals not being the one leap closer to your loved ones. I'm thinking of you and waiting on good news from you all.

I am trying really hard to keep it together and stay positive. I really hope files stuck at Vermont get touched soon as our wedding is March 1 and i hooe to be in the US early Jan to finalise wedding preps.

thanks ozgirl. its just frustrating sometimes, cause were planning already his trip to be with me when i have my interview and we cant do the whole thing without the noa2 on his hands.huhu!

hey!we mail it last august 19, 2013. hopefully next week they do something on our rfe's.

I mailed it over a week ago on the 20th from Israel and still nothing im starting to get worried that it might be lost somewhere in the mail because it usually takes exactly a week hopefully we will both hear something soon!!!

So I am the petitioner but I have been living in Israel for the past 3 years... and yes I mailed it directly to uscis

Also are you in the California office or the Vermont?
