Thanks Nurseling. I am not stressed, as we have every reason to believe we will be approved (and yes we gave them everything they asked for and then even a letter from my friend who will be one of the witness to our marriage)... I am, like most of us here, eager to get the ball rolling so I can be interviewed and eventually able to live with my fiancé in the U.S. I guess the fact that we've had an RFE from USCIS and then the receipt of them receiving the package is a good thing. So we'll continue to wait dancin5hr.gif

I understand we are all on edge more that have not been approved yet. Personally I won't stop holding my breath till I arrive on US soil cos then I know everything's ok and we are ready to start our life together. I hope it's not going to be long now for you. Keep the faith and stay strong your almost there.

Hi again Nurseling. I see you already have your NOA2. When do you expect to receive an interview date at the US consulate? I am curious how long the waiting us between NOA2 + interviews.

Well interviews are about a 4-6 weeks wait. Medical can be done in a week pending NVC sends my file to London at the end of this week. Takes about a week to get to London consulate. Once it's there I will make contact with them or they contact me. I would say I should be ready by November but don't actually plan to leave till December or jan. I would say another 2-3 months to complete the process.

You have 3 kids that's soo nice. I have two myself but ones staying and the other one was born in america so it's only AOS for me.

Does that mean you will need to pay the fees for all 4 of you and also plane ticket? God I bet your saving already.

Yes it does.. AOS for 4, plane tickets for 4 (about $4000) etc. I'm estimating well over $10,000 AUD by the time AOS fees are paid. I need to get early work authorisation so I can start making money ASAP LOL.

At least yours isn't so bad.

Yes it is a lot of money you have to pay out. Here's hopeing for early authorisation for all of us this process has set everyone back quiet a bit of money.

Are you going to do the same profession your doing in Australia when you get to US or you plan to do something diffrent? I want a Monday to Friday 7-6 cos I want to be able to spend my weekends with my family. Not keen on doing ridiculous working hours like I do here.

I understand they have to reply to your rfe response within 60 days. So if you don't here after 30 days I would call to give them a little kick. It so happens when people call to enquire few day s or the same day they get approved.

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

Yes it is a lot of money you have to pay out. Here's hopeing for early authorisation for all of us this process has set everyone back quiet a bit of money.

Are you going to do the same profession your doing in Australia when you get to US or you plan to do something diffrent? I want a Monday to Friday 7-6 cos I want to be able to spend my weekends with my family. Not keen on doing ridiculous working hours like I do here.

I'm a single full time mum atm, so no. I have been raising my 3 kids alone for 6 yrs and it's done my head in. I want to work now. I'll be trying to get anything entry level. I love car mechanics (yes, dont laugh, I'm a chick with long nails, but love working under the car. Saves loads of money on car servicing), fixing small electronics and large appliances, so hoping I can get something.

Well, just to give you an update on my group with A# changed June 3, 2013 , we are all under "Initial Review". It may take long road for our group to be touched but Im not losing hope. Anyway, there is always new day for all of us here. I'm very positive because we have so much love for each other. heart.gif

Like Nurseling, I also got my case # the exact same time she did, precisely 3 wks after NOA2!

Anyway, check my sig. Am I considered a May filer or April filer?
