Not yet. Still in initial review at Vermont. Doing my best to be patient.

My timelines (expected time for approval) moved from Sept 6 to Sept 10. :( I guess they really are slowing down.

Ooh! Exciting - I think? Here's what I just got emailed tonight for a case status update....

"Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Request for Evidence Response Review

On August 19, 2013, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Once a timely response to the request for evidence is received by USCIS, we review the evidence or information you submitted. If you submitted the requested evidence, we continue with the adjudication of your application or petition in light of the new evidence."

We sent this evidence last week, so it surprises me that they say they received it today.

Just a quick update: Got my MTL case number. NVC received my file today, and it is still processing there. The NOA2 date was August 1st. Hope others get their soon. smile.png

Also, once you have your case number, you can check for updates from the DOS here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? Make sure to select "immigrant visa". This may be more convenient than calling to see when the consulate gets it.

Hi, anybody got NOA2 approved today?

I wish LoL.. Not yet ClockWatch2.gif been waiting like forever LoL!

I usually don't check my status everyday, especially during my work days, probably just twice a week (so there's less frustration hahaha).. but I've been off for the whole week so it kept me thinking, why is it taking so long for Vermont when csc has been moving fast.. but oh well, now am with TSC since the transfer so I don't know what to expect from that service center.. so I just wait.. Anyway, at least I started doing post noa2 paper works and trying to find a way to organize them so my fiancé won't have a hard time.. so I went to office depot and bought some stuff but I couldn't find a good expanding file folder that meets my requirements hahaha! too bad we don't have staples store anymore so I guess il be doing some online shopping.. uhhmm shopping - very therapeutic good.gif

Anyway, can you guys give me some ideas how you guys organized your post noa2 paperworks? did you use binders with clear sheets? expanding file folder? envelopes? etc.. etc.. am trying to get some ideas idea9dv.gif so I won't be so confused.. coz am trying to divide them in sections like for medical, cfo and interview.. Any other ideas? Thanks guys!

Update on our case..

We have our hardcopy RFE and it was for exactly what we had been expecting. Divorce decrees. My fiance did send them a copy of his final divorce, but like we had been expecting, they want decrees from all 3 marriages that he has terminated. (He married very young and it didn't work out too well).

And for those of you who are worried about red flags due to age, please dont. My fiance is 30+ yrs older than me (hense why all the prior marriages), and things are progressing quite well. I may get questioned at interview, but i'll be ready to answer those.

Sounds like things re moving nicely for most here.

Congrats to those who are taking the next step with case numbers and I wish NOA2 to come quickly to those who haven't heard anything yet. Please dont give up.

Best wishes to everyone.

Great! Go and send it today..lol! were close having the same approval date i think..

Hey Ozgirl

Age is nothing but a number it's the love that counts. I am glad you received your hard copy. Things are moveing along for you. Approval very soon.

Still nothing. Have you asked them if there is a problem? At least they should let you know even if its a rfe it's better than no touch at all.

Hey HunNee

I just got like a photo album for all the pics then arrange them by dates with the date written at the back with pen. Then the other stuff I just got a big folder with plastic see though sheets and inserted stuff. Starting with my medical stuff that's needed since that's my next step. The actual documents I sent to uscis are right at the back of the folder since they already have a copy. They won't needed but I wanted to keep things together for the AOS adjustment. This way everything stays together. Next week am going to get the required US passport pictures. It's good your getting yourself prepped.

Yes we got ours LND number yesterday too. I checked the CEAC sight yesterday when I called them and saw my status on the sight saying at NVC. It's nice to have another way of tracking the file now its been approved and a case number has been assigned. I was checking other people's timelines that have been approved it seems the file doesn't stay at NVC longer than 3 days if there's no problems with the file. Then the forward to the consulate. Which then takes a 5-7 days to reach the consulate. So not long now things seem to be moving quicker when you teach this point in the process. Keeps us updated on how it's going for you, medical and interview.

Typically once you clear USCIS, it's a lot quicker. It's just getting to NVC in the first place! :P

Typically once you clear USCIS, it's a lot quicker. It's just getting to NVC in the first place! :P

I totally agree with you there. It seems its another battle with NVC. Ours took 3 weeks but there's people waiting longer. Out of the frying pan (uscis) in to the fire ( NVC ) lol.

Still not heard nothing yet?

Nope, not a peep from them. Having looked at some of the other I-129F's as me at VSC, they're also waiting for something to happen. That being said if I've not heard by around the end of the month, I'll send an email to the Ombudsman pointing out that there seem to be a bunch of us stuck at VSC in limbo and we either need a transfer or adjudication. While we're technically not outside of processing times until October, I'm thinking it's best to nip any potential problems like this in the bud early. The worst that can happen is they say to email again in October instead.

"What's yours is mine!"
