Update for those waiting on NVC. I called dos jus now and they told me my case just got sent to NVC this morning. So total time after NoA2 is 3 weeks exactly. They also gave me my case number. They said usually a week or two it will gt sent to London after NVC has looked over the file again. Sounds like they still checking that information is correct and that who ever approved us didn't leave nothing out. Like a secondary check. Then it gets sent in what they call a Diplomatic pouch due to the sensitivity of the information and as it is government documents now. No way to track just yet. But if I call back in a week or two I will have a tracking number where I can track the package reaches London.

Hope this helps those waiting to get a idea of how long it takes for a case number to be generated. Now we know its roughly 3 weeks.

A move forward to the medical now. I will be booking an appointment tomorrow since they are closed today.

does that include weekends? or just total of 3 week working days. thanks

You might want to call Dos today since we were approved the same day. They probably sent out your file to NVC too. It's worth checking if you can now get the case number so your fiancé can arrange her medical.

Means they have not received your case. You could try calling dos now. Since we got approved the same day dos may have a case number for you today. I would try if I were you.

National Visa Center (NVC): A private company located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire that processes certain immigration filings under contract with the U.S. Department of State (DOS). In appropriate cases, NVC receives approved green card petitions from USCIS or DOS and continues the green card process by sending forms and instructions to the applicant, receiving the forms and supporting documents back from the applicant, and then forwarding the applicants file to the proper U.S. embassy or consulate abroad.

GOT MY MANILA CASE # !!!

They said it actually came in Friday but didn't get the # til today... YEH-HEY!!!!

Ok so now your fiancé has a number to schedule her medical. Things should move a little quicker now.

05/02/2013 I-129f sent via USPS express

05/03/2013 received by Dallas-lock box

05/07/2013 NOA1 hard copy

05/13/2013 Alien number change a email from USCIS

07/29/2013 NOA2 Approval email from USCIS

08/03/2013 NOA2 Hard Copy Recieved

08/16/2013 file sent to NVC

08/19/2013 Called DOS told NVC received file case number given.

08/21/2013 file in transit to London embassy as stated on CEAC website also spoke to DOS to confirm

08/28/2013 file ready according to CEAC website

08/30/2013 packet 3 sent with DS-2001

O9/05/2015 medical appointment

09/06/2013 packet 3 arrived in the mail.

09/10/2013 CEAC update medical result received by embassy

10/04/2013 CEAC update dos says waiting to give interview date

10/11/2013 packet 4 interview letter arrived

10/22/2013 interview at London embassy

10/22/2013 Approved the visa

10/29/2013 visa delivered

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

Btw, does anyone know what site it shows that our case was forwarded to the embassy already?

Also, I'm calling NVC again and getting them to email me the case # so I can forward it to my fiance as hard proof and I think it's needed for medical & interview right? Or at least when paying for the visa fee....

She only needs to give them the number they gave you. When your case leaves NVC they will send you a hard copy saying your case has been sent to your fiancés consulate. Your case has not left yet. You would need to give a week or so to call them back and ask if its been sent to the Philippines.

I dont understand what's the point of waiting a week or 8 days after the releasing of my case #... is that ONLY to schedule the interview online? If so, is there a reason to DELAY paying for the K-1 Visa? How long is it good for after I pay for it? Bec she has no yet received my post NOA2-docs and we are not yet ready to schedule the interview (waiting for police certificate from foreign country & NOA2 docs)....
