today is 2nd week since we got our Noa2.. my fiancee will call today NVC for the second time...hope we have good news.. Godbless everyone :)

Let us know how it goes I plan to call Dos today myself since today is 3 weeks since we got approved. I am calling Dos cos I really can't take the waiting time for someone to pick up at NVC. Dos is quicker and they will give you the same information regarding the case number.

what is the number of the DOS nurseling?

yeah, what makes me happy is seeing the hard copy if the approval but waiting for case number is making me impatient although i'm not leaving before october but still i just want to finally have that visa approval so bad.

yeah, what makes me happy is seeing the hard copy if the approval but waiting for case number is making me impatient although i'm not leaving before october but still i just want to finally have that visa approval so bad.[/quote

I already planned to leave in December after Christmas. I have a feeling it won't all be completed till around November so I will spend Christmas with my family here then leave probably around the 30th dec. am already looking around for ticket prices to see if I can find a reasonable one around that time of year. I have found daycare for my son to start in Atlanta.so many things too do in such a little time lol.

we wanted not to wait til the holidays to save at least a few dollars for the tickets but if it comes to that then its ok, i'm still working while fixing all the papers so its ok, once i have my visa, that's when i plan to resign and move, hopefully it'll be before the year ends.

Update for those waiting on NVC. I called dos jus now and they told me my case just got sent to NVC this morning. So total time after NoA2 is 3 weeks exactly. They also gave me my case number. They said usually a week or two it will gt sent to London after NVC has looked over the file again. Sounds like they still checking that information is correct and that who ever approved us didn't leave nothing out. Like a secondary check. Then it gets sent in what they call a Diplomatic pouch due to the sensitivity of the information and as it is government documents now. No way to track just yet. But if I call back in a week or two I will have a tracking number where I can track the package reaches London.

Hope this helps those waiting to get a idea of how long it takes for a case number to be generated. Now we know its roughly 3 weeks.

A move forward to the medical now. I will be booking an appointment tomorrow since they are closed today.

What I noticed was different about this time round when I called Dos was that thy asked for the name of the petitioner and beneficiary before they told me it was sent to NVC this morning then they gave me the case number. In the past when I called them they never asked they just say no its not at NVC yet.

05/02/2013 I-129f sent via USPS express

05/03/2013 received by Dallas-lock box

05/07/2013 NOA1 hard copy

05/13/2013 Alien number change a email from USCIS

07/29/2013 NOA2 Approval email from USCIS

08/03/2013 NOA2 Hard Copy Recieved

08/16/2013 file sent to NVC

08/19/2013 Called DOS told NVC received file case number given.

08/21/2013 file in transit to London embassy as stated on CEAC website also spoke to DOS to confirm

08/28/2013 file ready according to CEAC website

08/30/2013 packet 3 sent with DS-2001

O9/05/2015 medical appointment

09/06/2013 packet 3 arrived in the mail.

09/10/2013 CEAC update medical result received by embassy

10/04/2013 CEAC update dos says waiting to give interview date

10/11/2013 packet 4 interview letter arrived

10/22/2013 interview at London embassy

10/22/2013 Approved the visa

10/29/2013 visa delivered

12/02/2013 POE In Atlanta Georgia

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

Petition received by NVC last Friday 8/16 (10 days from NOA2 and 90 days from NOA1).

Yours was very quick. Ours took 3 weeks.so have they sent it to Russia yet?

You might want to call Dos today since we were approved the same day. They probably sent out your file to NVC too. It's worth checking if you can now get the case number so your fiancé can arrange her medical.
