Hello all!

I remember browsing through this thread a few days ago, and one of the VJ members said that, while waiting for the NOA2 approval, she (or he?!) was going to start filling some forms out. I am assuming these forms are related to the NOA2 or for post NOA2 activity. Would one of my fellow VJers kindly share what forms these could be? And perhaps a link on where to find them? I'd like to be as prepared as possible. I am hoping our NOA2 happens in the next week or so; we just responded to an RFE... but the case status has not changed on the USCIS website. Oh well, will continue to sit and wait like we have for the past 3.5 months

When you have obtained all of the required documents and are prepared for the visa interview, you are required to complete the Notification of Applicant(s) Readiness, Form 2001 and mail it to the Immigrant Visa Unit together with a covering letter containing your email address, if applicable, your date of travel and date of the medical examination. See "Contact and Mailing Address" on the right-hand side of the page. Note: The failure to return the forms promptly will delay the processing of your application.

Pls also check your individual consulates for additional forms that maybe required.

hey all! we just got our rfe letter and as surprising as it is they only want the passport photo of my fiance. how odd is that!?!i think the one picture of the two of us is enough for them!lol!do i still need to include the ones that aren't mention?or just follow what they just need?it didnt mention anything about lacking on initial evidence.just that passport photo.anyway, he will send it by monday..this is what it said :

PHOTOS : Submit a passport style photograph for the petitioner, ******* ******** . The specifications are as follows:

Glossy color

Plain white background

Unretouched

Not mounted

Full frontal facial image

About one inch from the bottom of the chin to the top of the hair

Taken within the past 30 days

Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print the names and A-numbers on the back of each photo. The photos should be placed

in a small envelope and attached on this page.

So i guess we need to send them a new photos of my fiance. Whew!i thought it was a bit tricky!LOL!

Easy one. Not an uncommon one thou. Some USCIS staff are fussy LOL.

If they dont want additional photos of the both of you, I wouldn't send them, but certainly take them along to the interview as extras. Good Luck for the journey ahead

We haven't got our hardcopy of our RFE to see if they want anything other than divorce decrees. Will have to wait till next week.

dont worry you will have it, we got ours within 4 days, my fiance live in arizona so its close enough. and hopefully just your divorce degree that they want.

Yep.. Better to be over prepared than under prepared.

My fiance is in WA so we are guessing Monday or Tuesday. My fiance checked with me how detailed the decree needed to be. I told him to ask for the certified copies with the judge/court seal and signature on them. He had to wait a few extra days for the certified ones too which make me think he did get the right ones and he told the person who was doing the record search that he needed them to satisify USCIS needs. So I think we have covered all bases.

Meanwhile I'm getting DS forms ready for packet 3 once the NOA2 arrives as I have my 3 children (under 12yrs) coming with me which requires so many extra forms LOL

Morning may filers.

It's 05.39 here too early lol. New week has begun i really hope to see some more may approvals before the end of this week. Those with rfes get it done ASAP and send it. Those transfered be pro active keep busy download files fill them out get things you need ready for your fiance it saves time. We need approvals rolling in this week. If you all noticed we have almost filled up Igors list. There some approved that have not filled up their timelines. Please do so so it can help others still waiting have a idea of when to start calling uscis or NVC. Hope everyone has a good start to their week.

That's a good reminder -- to "stay positive". Sometimes it's hard, especially because we are basically just sitting and waiting while our fate is in somebody else's hands. It's hard to not check the USCIS website every single day (if not multiple times a day) while waiting to hear for an approval. Here's to hoping things are on the up and up for all of us this week

I do hope that everyone's week brings great joy for further news ahead. It's times like these that I hate being in Australia. By the time it's Monday in USA, it's almost Tuesday in Ozland. LOL. We are hoping on a hardcopy of RFE so we can send off our evidence that they request. My fiance has the divorce decree copied and ready to mail if thats the only thing they want. I can't wait. I wish I could check his letterbox for him as I would be camping at it. ROFL
