my fiance does construction and builds homes in Jamaica. I know he doesn't need a license or certificate to do this in TX, but does he need a work permit to start his own construction company in the States?

I have a couple jobs waiting on his arrival but not sure on how to do it legally. I know he needs a work permit to work for someone else.

Just got my NOA2 hardcopy in the mail 8/10/13 also our two year anniversary of when we met..perfect gift for us we are so happy

(actually august 11 in PI and august 10 for me here in the states)

. ....no email or txt confirmation and no update on the USCIS case status at all...been checking daily for the last two weeks with all the may approvals we been seeing.

Our NOA2 approval was 8/6/2013

so it took 4 days for you to have the hard copy of NOA2? does the NOA2 have the Manila case number? we just got approved August 9 but don't know when will we have the Manila Case number and how? i asked my fianće to call them up in a week.

May 15, 2013 - Sent I-129F packet

May 17, 2013 - Recieved Date

May 21, 2013 - NOA1

August 9, 2013 - Petition Approved; NOA2

September 12, 2013 - Got our Manila Case Number

September 13, 2013 - Paid VISA fee through BPI ; scheduled appointment and medicals

September 17, 2013 - Medical at SLEC; passed in one day

September 20, 2013 - done with CFO seminar pre departure orientation seminar

October 7, 2013 - Interview at USEM (Visa Approved)

October 16, 2013 - Visa on hand

October 17, 2013 - went back to CFO for the sticker

November 9, 2013 - Flight to LAX, got to LAX safely

NOvember 11, 2013 - Printed out I-94 online

Hope things are going to move faster now. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'll be visiting him in a couple weeks and it would be awesome for the two of us if we get the NOA2 while I am there :)

So far my case is stuck at "Initial Review" at least yours have movement.

Anyway, I am very sure, soon we will get that NOA2.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm
