I used Rapid Visa to prepare my paperwork, so it's all pre-filled out when I answered all their other questions, aside from the DS-156 (which I already filled out). I don't have to worry about much aside from getting my fiance the documents he'll need like my birth certificate and my divorce certificate. I plan on mailing those to him this weekend.

As far as I'm aware you're likely going to want to schedule your medical after you get your number from the NVC. The doctor will need that number when identifying you in his medical report. o.o Might want to call the embassy to find out for sure.

Yes your right. Just wondering if I should call them today or wait till Monday. Just cos we only got approved Monday its Thursday now so am guessing they probably haven't done much with sending the file to NVC.

Give it 2 weeks from the date they said they mailed it. If you didn't get a notice that they mailed it, bug the USCIS about forwarding your case to NVC -- but you'll have to speak with a Tier 2 IO.

If you don't have a US number you can get this nifty little device, which you can leave with your daughter when you come to the US so she can call you free. :) It includes the device and 1 year of service. The service costs about $30 USD a year. I got it for my fiance, and it's been a life (and money) saver.

You can use any USB converter for a phone/device to power the device, so you don't have to get a plug converter if you have a usb/plug outlet converter thingy-mah-bob (technical term right there, yessiree).

Cheers thanks. I have a magic jack that I planned to leave behind for her so she can use on her laptop to call me. Also I bought her a iPad so she has Skype installed on the iPad and on her phone and we have used it while I have been in the usa many times it worked pretty well. I also discovered a app called tango which works well at times via wifi. We also use whatsapp to instant text, free for the first year I just recently renewed mine and my daughters subscription and a additional year was like 69 pence. So I went ahead and added 3 years paid up front for her phone and mine. It's good to establish many modes of communication due to distance and all. My sisters are all going to download the stuff too so they can contact me as we'll. I did just discover another one that's free for texts called viber. Seems to work well just have to encourage more people to download it.

Will leave for two weeks before calling then. I thought as much that it would take time.

We check the numbers before and after our receipt number. Yours would be WAC since your with California so change last few numbers .

This is what I'd been doing (466 is mine, so that's why it's highlighted):

Which basically shows me the progress through the case files. There's no K1 apps in the 500's and I didn't see any in the 600's either. There were only a handful in the 300s, and very few "stragglers" that got transferred.

This is how I did it:

It's pretty easy you go here, which you can get to by visiting the USCIS website and entering in your receipt number in the "case status" box on the left navigation.

It looks like this:

Then you'll be on this page:

From there you change the last 2 digits in your case number down or up and submit the form. Your case number will start with EAC or WAC. :)

So 411, 412, 465, 466, 489, 490, etc

More action for May 9th NOA1ers, out of my group of 6 i-129fs the 5th one's status changed today so they're being either approved or receiving a RFE. My case is the only one left in the group waiting to be worked on.

in our group (alien registration number changed from may 23 & 24) prolly noa1 of may 21 & 22, there hasn't been any progress yet and the latest that they approved from CSC has a may 15 Noa1. hopefully in the coming weeks, there will be good news but as of now, i'll just try to monitor the ones that in my group just in case.

We got approved today! NOA1 date of May 7th. Got the email notification tonight, exactly 3 months from the day we sent the package. Omgosh, I am in shock. We both are! I mean, we were watching May filers start to be approved, but you still don't believe it's going to happen to you. Just wow. Yours will totally be coming soon, guys!

On the flip side, my mom has an appointment at the cancer centre on Tuesday. So my mind is just swirling with thoughts. SO excited and happy that I get to be with my love soon, but also scared that the timing is when my mom will need me here. No idea what will be happening still, and probably won't until after Tuesday, but at least I can sit back and relax about this for a bit. No RFE, just approved. What a relief.

09/06/2013 packet 3 arrived in the mail.

09/10/2013 CEAC update medical result received by embassy

10/04/2013 CEAC update dos says waiting to give interview date

10/11/2013 packet 4 interview letter arrived

10/22/2013 interview at London embassy

10/22/2013 Approved the visa

10/29/2013 visa delivered

12/02/2013 POE In Atlanta Georgia

1/25/2014 AOS forms mailed

1/27/2014 arrived at PO Box Chicago lock box waiting to be picked up

1/27/2014 (day1)AOS received by USCIS according to USPS online mail tracker signed for by R MERCADO

2/2/2014. (day7) text message and email from USCIS for acceptance of all forms.

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

Im so happy to hear that May Filers are sharing good news! I am praying all of us here gets approval soon. Sometimes I feel sad because I am wanting so much to have it but when I think those who filed earlier than us and those who wait so much time to have it, I think there is no reason for me to complain.

Anyway, to all VJers lets pray for the best! Woohhhooo! for some reason I feel happy and wonderful being part of this family!

me too, it helps to belong to a group like ours. we keep each other positive in everything that we're all going through with the waiting and the petition.

May 15, 2013 - Sent I-129F packet

May 17, 2013 - Recieved Date

May 21, 2013 - NOA1

August 9, 2013 - Petition Approved; NOA2

September 12, 2013 - Got our Manila Case Number

September 13, 2013 - Paid VISA fee through BPI ; scheduled appointment and medicals

September 17, 2013 - Medical at SLEC; passed in one day

September 20, 2013 - done with CFO seminar pre departure orientation seminar

October 7, 2013 - Interview at USEM (Visa Approved)

October 16, 2013 - Visa on hand

October 17, 2013 - went back to CFO for the sticker

November 9, 2013 - Flight to LAX, got to LAX safely

NOvember 11, 2013 - Printed out I-94 online
