Hi May filers, I need an input from you guys. Its getting closer to my interview date and my medical is next week. I just receive the i134 package from my fiancée and this is what I have in it. W2 2011-2013, Tax return 2011 and said she will mail 2012 and 201r to me to print out. I hope that is acceptable. Pay slip from Nov - Feb, statement of account from Nov 2013 - Feb 2014, document deed of purchase of her house i134 form signed and dated. Unfortunately she forgot send a new Intent to Marry. I hope you guys are having a wonderful time with your loved ones. May God bless you as I await your inputs. Thanks.

As far as the I-134 that's enough documentation. Tell her to type or handwrite a new letter of Intent sign it scan it and email it to you to print. They can possibly give you a temporary denial for it. Good luck and keep us posted

Good to hear you are close..

I agree with Blakcajun.. For the I-134 I think you have enough evidence to go with it.

As for the Letter of Intent, It is needed. Try Blakcajun suggestion of getting one printed, signed, scaned and emailed to you to print (preferably in colour to see a blue signature). My suggestion is to either pay big $$ to have it extra fast posted to you, or if she can email the consulate with the same thing. Print, sign, scan and then email direct to the embassy before your interview.

Good Luck and keep us informed of whats happening.

Hi godsrule

I agree with Ozgirl the letter of intent is essential especially as the embassy in Nigeria can be quiet funny you need as much evidence as possible so if you don't have much time get it scanned but if you still have a little time to play with before your interview get it mailed to you always better to see a original signed one. Pls take your album pics of your relationships along with any other evidence even though they may not request it you just want to cover all bases. God will be with you and in his wisdom and grace you too will be in the USA very soon amen .

Keep us posted on how things go:):):):)

Blakcajun congrats on visa issuance so glad everything has worked out in the end. Your new family will be with you soon.

Congrats !!!! I'm so happy for you..Glad you can finally move on now too.. Enjoy the next journey !!!!

Update from me.. I'm in the USA and settling in. Only been 24hrs so still getting over the jetlag LOL.

Ozgirl so glad to hear you made it there safely. Take your time and rest relax and enjoy your time with your family. Soon AOS will be apron you. Currently going through the process applied since 26th jan 2014 biometrics 18th febuary moved to a new home changed address and just waiting on EAD and AP no news yet it's been 23 days since doing my biometrics. Although my field office in Atlanta seems to have a 7-8 months backlog I most probably won't get the green card till probably end of the year but the EAD hopefully will hear something in another few more weeks. Found daycare for my son he will begin in a few weeks and I have made applications to job and had replays back for interviews just praying EAD doesn't take too long now.mean while still doing driving and reading for my Basic life support certification as most of the nursing jobs require you have it. Plan to go do that two weeks time.

Keep us posted on how your doing. Hope your kids are settling in well.

Hey May Filers!

Congrats to Blakcajun on the visa issue (well, I am late on the congratulations -- oops!). I'm envious of those filers already in the U.S.!!

In two weeks' time I will FINALLY be moving myself to the US, and am trying to get all my 'ducks in a row' meaning packing, paperwork, etc. I am sure there is a forum with this information but thought I'd ask my friends here.

Aside from the "packet" of information (sealed) from the embassy and the passport w/ visa, what other paperwork did you bring with you upon entering the US? I am arriving by LAND (driving across the border from Canada), and as such I had to get special letters from the manufacturer of my vehicle stating it can be 'imported' or drive in the US.

Congrats to all who are onto the better part of this journey :). I look forward to joining you soon!

Hey May Filers,

For those of you in the Adjustment of Status phase, hopefully you can help answer my question!

I am trying to prepare the i-485 packet before I move into the U.S., just for peace of mind. Aside from a couple of things left to do, we are ready ahead of schedule :)

Here's my situation/question: we never received a paper copy of the i-797 (NOA2). We did, however, receive an email stating our approval back in August. I know on VJ it says NOT TO LOSE this paper, but we have never received it!! I recall in my many hours spent pouring over things needed for the Adjustment of Status, we needed to include a copy of the i-797 somewhere... but I cant remember where!!

Can you let me know if/where you required to include a copy of this?

Thanks!!

Hi there Nurselling.

Good to hear things are progressing for you. I hope it doesn't take 7-8 months for your GC to arrive. At least I hope your EAD and AP come thru quickly for you so you can start work. I hope your son enjoys day care. Day care and school here in WA seems to be really nice and helpful in every way and I hope you find this is the case for you too.

I'm also studying so I can start driving. I'm a little nervous about it all, but doing loads of reading up on all the different things here that is different from Australia. I feel helpless not being able to drive. Thankfully the kids are in school and it's only a 6min walk for the my children. They are loving school. The schools and teachers have been more than helpful in helping myself and my children settle in. It's great.

We haven't planned the wedding date yet as we were waiting on getting the kids settled in school. We aren't having a big wedding but a court house wedding with neighbours. After all the $$ we have spent already, we dont want anything elaborate. LOL.

I have done most of the paperwork that comes with AOS filing and got most outta the way. I received my SS card yesterday too and had no hassles getting it with the K1.

Glad to hear the date of POE is arriving for you soon. Dont be in a hurry, WA is still cold and wet LOL. Might be nicer once you arrive. The only thing apart from Passport and Embassy package that I had for POE was the Xray from the medical. LAX didn't request that, but I some POE do insist on having it on you ie Hawaii. Not sure if a land travel might request the same, but have it handy too if you have it. My xray was on CD.

We have our NOA2 but upon googling VJ for information for you, I found this thread. In brief, it seems that you dont need it but have a read and see if it can help your anxiety of not having your copy but I feel you certainly dont need to pay $405 for another copy when it was USCIS fault that you never received one.

Good Luck !!!

Thanks, Ozgirl, for being logical and Googling my inquiry idea9dv.gif . I'll take a read and hopefully it'll calm my worries! (I had read on a forum somewhere to "NOT LOSE NOA2 LETTER", and I'm thinking, what if it was lost or undelivered for me lol).

I live in British Columbia, which is the Canadian province just above Washington State (well, at least one of them) so I am used to the weather... I actually find it warm lol. Anytime there is sunshine and no rain, I'm a happy girl!

Thanks!!

Hi sjs

Yes you are required to give a copy of 797 notice of approval as well as your I-94 and copy of your marriage cert and tax returns again. You also need 4 passport pics and all the forms filled out properly. Don't forget your birth cert and your husbands birth certificate and copy of your passport visa page. I also included 5 pay stubs from my husband. No rfe with all what I just told you. Pls also remember to include your medical sheet from k1. A copy only.

Hope this helps. Let me know how you go. I will be expediting mine tomorrow as I had 3 job interviews today with 3 job offers one as a supervised. Will keep you guys informed of what happens with expediting.

Not sure if a lanjd travel might request the same, but have it handy too if you have it.

Hey Ozgirl

Glad your settling in. Also glad your kids are loving their new school.

It takes time to transition I am still gaining my confidence on the road learning to drive.

Went for 3 job interviews today and got 3 job offers so I will be taking one of them as I need to get out working and earning. I plan to call uscis tomorrow to expedite my EAD so I can start working.

Keep up the practice with your driving. Let us know when the wedding is happening.
