My fiance and I have been approved!!!! Thank you for all the support. I have no idea what is the next step, but he has his visa and will be coming to USA December 22. 2013. Please pray everything goes well and that he arrives. WE had many issues with airlines and France. He was suppose to be on his flight on dec. 17, but they did not allow him because he did not have a transit visa. with this said emotions have been everywhere I just really hope he makes it! I can't wait for him to be right in front of me.

Glad to see some May 2013 filers are moving on to bigger and better things! I hope that those of you waiting for interview dates will get one in the coming weeks. When we got ours, the date was TWO MONTHS AWAY! Now, we are just under 2 weeks away from my interview and I couldn't be happier!

​While the legal marriage won't happen in January like we had originally planned, the good news is that I am still moving down in January to be with my fiancé, and we'll be married a little bit later but still all in good time.

It's so funny to think a year ago, we hadn't yet begun this process, and now we are in the home stretch of the most difficult part (and that is being apart from each other). Oh, life is good!

My fiancee's going to be going through customs in Atlanta. Can anyone who's already came to be with their fiancee give us any idea on what happens when he gets off the plane? I'm told he has to give them the packet that came with the visa but do they ask questions? What should he expect? Is it like another interview?

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!!! I hope that those of you with your new families have an amazing holiday. For those of us who aren't with our loved ones yet, it's coming. Next year will be a Christmas to celebrate. This year really is because he has his visa and well be together in 23 days. I'm getting him something and I might just keep the tree up until he arrives. Hi glad to hear everything is sorted with your fiancé visa.

I went through customs in Atlanta. Tell your fiancée to be prepared to wait after he hands over the big envelope. They take you to another section of the airport where you have to wait for the custom officers to take there good time to process you. I was there with my little son for about 40 mins they really were very slow with it.

Anyway when they finally got to me he gave me a peace of paper with instructions about getting married in 90 days then emphasised verbally that I must get married within 90 days or I will have to leave the country. No kidding !! Lol. Anyway was glad it's over and done with. Am sure he will be fine just tell him to be prepared for a wait that's all. They don't ask you anything . I never got no questions asked.

Merry Christmas every one. Hope all may filers are finally over the process or close to travelling.

Not been here for a while lots happening weddings in January meanwhile just getting myself sorted with reading for the driving. Managed to get a social security card and a ID card. After the wedding I will file for the AOS.

Seem to be on track so far so good.

Posting from my phone hoot= hope.... I had even called Delta and the crazy thing is they had no flights available with longer Layovers until February and that was only 5 hours. It seems weird because I ended up with a 14 hour layover on my last trip. It sucked! I hope he makes it! Delta told me that 4 hours is plenty of time.

Hello VJers!

I am spending my Saturday gathering the items I will be needing for my interview -- JANUARY 2, 2014!!! I had my fiance write a letter of intent back in November, and he signed it, but I realize I need one signed within the last 30 days. Oy. Fortunately he lives nearby so he will FedEx the letter to me so it will get to me BEFORE my interview date. Good thing I'm prepared - dancin5hr.gif .

I hope the New Year brings good news -- soon!-- to all of my fellow May 2013 filers.

CITIZENSHIP

08/23/17 - N-400 sent (USPS Lost package, In Transit - Delayed status)
09/11/17 - N-400 sent again via FedEX.

09/14/17 - N-400 NOA1

09/25/17 - Email Acceptance - Routed to NBC.

10/10/17 - Walk in Biometrics - Seattle.

10/18/17 - In line for Interview

05/02/18 - Interview Scheduled.

06/01/18 - Interview - APPROVED

07/04/18 - July 4th Oath Ceremony.
