Hi nurseling, how long from you sent out packet 3 to embassy send packet 4 to beneficiary? And is it another mail? or email? They asked us to submit ds230 form part I, and also ds160 but we don't know when to fill the ds160, after we received packet 4 or before, we don't know do you have any clue about this?

This is before you recieve packet 4. It's done online. Ozgirl is probably at the same phase as you.

Just got approved NOA2 on 10/25.

Unfortunately the office is from CSC, which I've been seeing has a minimum of 4 weeks to get to NVC. This sucks since the other centers are averaging 2 wks

Anyone from California Service Center that got approved NOA2 in October got their paperwork to NVC yet?

Congrats on the approval. Don't worry the time will fly so quick.

Doing my medical tomorrow..really nervous!have to get up early like around 3am..wish me luck!cant sleep..lol!!

Alrighty, passport appointment on Wednesday now I have the money (at long last). So that'll be here by next Wednesday all being well. Then will get the Police Certificate stuff sent off and finish off DS-160. It's all starting to come together at long last.

I just got the letter from the US Embassy in Vancouver today instructing me to download Packet 3 from their website. Our lawyer is preparing all the documents that we need to include. Such a happy day!!!

YAY!!! I got the letter from the NVC today. I've known it was sent since Tuesday but still happy to have it! It instructs me to tell my fiancee to go to the ceac website and complete form DS-160!! It gives us something to do when we talk today to make us feel like we are moving forward. Now I hope he gets packet 3 soon!!! :-)

Just got approved NOA2 on 10/25.

Unfortunately the office is from CSC, which I've been seeing has a minimum of 4 weeks to get to NVC. This sucks since the other centers are averaging 2 wks

Anyone from California Service Center that got approved NOA2 in October got their paperwork to NVC yet?

We went through CVC and it was approved on September 11. Papers were not sent to the NVC until October 10. I hope yours is faster. At least you've got through the longest wait. Once at the NVC, it was there for less than 3 days before being sent to the embassy so they are getting things done quickly! I am waiting on packet 3 and my fiancee's interview date! Unfortunately for us, Rio was booking interview mid December 2 weeks ago so I am expecting a January interview. I guess our first Christmas together will be 2014. I'm stll hoping, though! :-)

Just to let you know that in Brazil we don't receive the packet 3 anymore.

We only receive the packet 4 which is either an email or a letter comunicating the interview date.

That makes sense because the girl I have been talking to a girl who is about a week and a half ahead of us who is from Rio and went to the same service center. She said that she got a package in the mail that confirmed her interview date but there was nothing to send back. There some information we have to fill out online. Since I got the letter and there was information to do online in that my fiancé and I are going to do that today when we talk.

OK guys! You might redirect me here but maybe someone knows. I was told to have my brother fill out an 894 as he is co-sponsoring. My income is just below what is required. Now my oldest son has a job and said I can include his income but he's just 19 and has never filed a tax refund yet. I don't know if this is going to be sufficient so should I just continue to use my brother or both. I know I fill out the 894A for my son if I do it but not so sure about my brother. I was given the 894 as the form for my brother but I am the primary sponsor so I'm slightly confused. Any suggestions?

Dont quote me on this but, the I-864 which I think you are meaning, isn't required at the K1 visa stage. The I-134 is what is needed. And for that one with co-sponsor, both the petitioner and the co-sponsor need to fill one out and sign.

The I-864 is the big brother form, which is the same thing but requires more details I think. It's required later for AOS.

Dont quote me again, but if your son wants to go so-sponsor, it would be better if he did do tax return. Not sure why he hasn't, but he may be able to do it. As advice, I would use the co-sponsor which has the most income.

Have a read thru the guides to help you. Reading is your best friend if doing this without help of legal kind.

I had someone who specializes in this help with the initial paperwork. They told me that we would need the I-864 (that was a typo). My son just got his first job but was trying to be helpful. I'm not going to use his income. My brother makes 3 times what I do and is the better choice. When I asked, I was sent the I-864 for my brother to fill out but then I saw the I-864A in the documents needed for interview. I am pretty sure he needs the 864 for both of us!

congrats!!It took us 41 days so expect that and not less but this is the time to gather everything you need and to focus on that and dont stress it will come....

Hi guys

My visa is due to be couriered today so up early got all my house work done and waiting in anticipation lol. Kept my self busy juicing greens this morning. Trying to live a healthier life style with the juicing.

Hopefully he doesn't turn up at 5.00 in the evening and he comes to me first.

Congrats to all new approvals. Also those waiting for interviews good luck you will all do great.
