I am hoping to have them here for Christmas but with all the fees and my kids long Christmas list. we're looking at January with a February or March wedding

You have not got long to go now. Next year is round the corner. Get all what you need to get done now cos when they come things will be hectic e.g registering them for school etc. I would start looking for schools right now if I were you. Just to prepare yourself. Also find out about transcripts from the old school they will need. When my daughter schooled in the US for a few months I was told to bring transcripts from the UK school she attended. You and Ozgirl have your work cut out. She already has schools lined up you might want to ask her what she needed to do so you can prep too.

I will register them at the school with my children attend. I have talked to the kids school in Jamaica and they are preparing their transfer documents to turn in to the school here. I will soon have a house full of children 2 from my adoption and 3 from him maybe 1 together but I not so sure about that...lol

You surely have a full house. That's good it's nice to be surrounded by children. never a dull moment where children are concerned. What are their age ranges?

When I checked the CEAC website, this is what it said:

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us athttp://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.

Do I really need to wait for the instructions from the NVC? I don't want to wait - I want to move ahead lol!

It should be noted that we are working with an immigration lawyer so I know she will be helping us along the way with this process. I just want to get an interview date ASAP at the embassy!

Hooray finally a interview date. Just had the post delivered looks like I don't need to call them today after all. Well the interview is booked for the 22nd October. That's in 11 days time wow. Fingers crossed everything goes well. I was given instructions to pay the courier service online before attending the interview. I noticed they wrote in bold Before. I guess this is when all the fun begins. I understand people have a whale of a time trying to pay the courier fee. I shall be busy today I guess lol.

If so, be sure to click "Pay K-1 visa fee" first and that will allow you to do both. I clicked to pay the courier fee first (it's the first option at the top of the Italian page) and it wouldn't let me then pay the K-1 visa... It's a bad system. lol

Ours is coming up with the medical on the 15th and the interview on the 16th so we're sitting down Saturday to make sure everything is organized well! I'm going to be ready when this part is finished :P

Thx Ozgirl but they did already send my RFE requesting a death certificate of my late wife. I sent another as i had sent with original petition. They aknowledged it Sept. 19 2013. But still no answer. I'm going to Philippines in November and was hoping to send good news ahead of me.

In London all that is required is a case number and passport and the police certificate and 1 passport picture either UK or Us style plus any immunisation records. don't know if your consulate requires other things. You might want to check your country's specific forum to see what they require. Or if you have the contact number for the clinic doing the medical for you call them up they will be able to tell you.

Thx Ozgirl but they did already send my RFE requesting a death certificate of my late wife. I sent another as i had sent with original petition. They aknowledged it Sept. 19 2013. But still no answer. I'm going to Philippines in November and was hoping to send good news ahead of me.

I'm guessing that you will hear from them in the next week or so. My fingers are crossed for you also to receive good news. Keep us updated

We got our packet 3 so far by email the same day the embassy in Sydney received our case. I'm just working on the forms right now and the instructions still say to completed DS-230 Part 1. Hopefully that is still right! This is an email we just got sent on Thursday. Police check, done, Medicals, on 15th October, rest is forms and just certifying my documents as well as waiting for my fiance to send me his documents and I-I34. Nearly there!

I would contact the Sydney embassy to check about the DS-230 & DS-260. From what I have found on google, Immigrant visas require the DS-260 and the Nonimmigrant visas need the DS-230.
