This is standard they say that in everyone's. It's a error which they should have fixed by now. K1 applicants are not provided with interviews by NVC the consulate does the interview scheduling. I wouldn't pay too much attention to that message. Wait for your file to say ready then schedular your medical.

My fiance passed his medical. We're waiting for his birth certificate in the mail before sending in packet 3 for the interview.

His mother lost his bc and didn't tell him until he went looking for it. LOL

Thank you nurseling, so what letter I will have to show for medical exam if I didnt want to wait 3 from embassy? Is it the copy of NoA2 enough for this? Thanks.

In London all that is required is a case number and passport and the police certificate and 1 passport picture either UK or Us style plus any immunisation records. don't know if your consulate requires other things. You might want to check your country's specific forum to see what they require. Or if you have the contact number for the clinic doing the medical for you call them up they will be able to tell you.

got caught up with a lot of things lately regarding my resignation from my job and dealing with a lot of paperworks needed before i leave. visa status changed to issued yesterday so were hoping we can have it before the 15th in time for our monthly celebration, i hope my fianće won't read about it here. so near yet so far, can'g wait to have my visa in a couple of days. thank you everyone for all your help.

Congrats almost there with your visa in your hand. Happy for you. Am still waiting for a interview date. Hopefully this coming week. Hear something cos that will make it 6 weeks since they received my forms. They said 4-6 weeks.

we are at a standstill at the moment. I am so upset with my fiance. He wanted until we got the NOA2 to apply for his childrens passport. He paid for the 2 week expedite but instead of filling out the form himself he paid a lawyer to do it so we don't know when they will be in and I need the info form the passports to fill out the DS-260.

I wonder if they can do their medical with just the case number, id number and A number...I am a bit confused as what to do next. Some in the Jamaica forum says they don't use the DS-260 to send the DS-230 instead. Some say the other and some say they did both to be on the safe side...I am lost

Problem is Jeanne they've changed the system AGAIN. Yes, we now no longer (as of 8th October) need to do DS-260 but do DS-160 instead. I'm guessing that thanks to numerous complaints about the Invoice Number from NVC (and/or the fact that embassies were telling us to use our dates of birth on DS-260 and it didn't work) they decided to make us use that instead. So anyone who did not get Packet 4 before the 8th October now must use DS-160 as a replacement for pretty much every single form bar DS-2001 to tell them you're ready.

Anyway. CEAC still reading "Ready" for me, no mention of being In Transit yet but to be honest given my Passport has been lost that's fine as I'm trying to sort a new one out ASAP. Just need a new countersignature because of losing said Passport. I swear right now I'm cursed in more ways than one.
