Hey congrats!

Would you let me know what the first step right after NOA2 and got shipped to NVC? Do we need to call NVC or DOS? And why do we need to call them? Aren't they gonna send us any email of document's list we need to submit next? I'm confused. Thanks before.

Either or . Dos or NVC to get your case number after noa2. I. Find dos friendlier and easier to contact. They will give you a case number. If you call NVC don't forget to ask for your invoice number for the online DS-260 form. Once they have generated a case number they will ship your file to your consulate. Mean while start getting your forms together and the affidavits of support I-134.

Thank you OF and LG! i know right! we didn't expect it to be this fast.. but me and fiance still got lots of things to do for the interview so i think it will be a while before i schedule my interview.

Thankies SDD-CMT! uhm if you can see my signature, it says there that after getting NOA2, 3 days after, we received an email fro USCIS saying that our approved case has been shipped to the DOS for visa processing, then 2 weeks after NOA2, my fiance called DOS to get our case number and he got it then after DOS, he called NVC to get our invoice ID # and benefiary ID #. This is why we need to call DOS and NVC. You better check this out.

Nothing yet.. Going to call them every day next week, but upon reading threads in the NVC section, CSC people have a longer wait as CSC aren't sending files when NOA2 comes. They wait till they have a big bunch then send them. I'm preparing to wait another 2 weeks It is what it is I guess. I'm calling from Australia too, so I have learnt when the best time to call DOS. Call them about 30min before closing and you get straight thru. Very helpful people so far

I am still waiting for London to send packet 4 interviews are taking a very long time. I am hoping by this week I get a letter.

My daughter went off to university yesterday so everything seems to be planning out thank god.

I was going to ask if you had a specific time for your kids to start school or it's just a case of when the visa comes through and you arrive?

I am currently on a look out for daycare for my son in Atlanta.

When do you think you will be leaving to go?

It's going to be Christmas soon we all know what the centres are like on holiday season no work gets done leading to more delays lol. Hope we all get our visas befor Christmas.

I've made contact with my sons middle school and they are working schedules out for mid/late January, but no hurry to attend first day we arrive. The principal is really good. We contact via email each week. My daughters elementary school is in the same lot as middle school which is only 600 mtrs from our house. I'm till yet to make contact as no emails for that school that I can find.

Hopefully we'll be leaving late Dec/Early Jan. 14th Jan have cheapish flights. Still going to cost $4,500-$5000 AUD to fly to Seattle. EKKK

My kids dont finish school till 20th Dec, so it wont be before then.

I'm hoping all May filers get visas before Christmas too..

On the upside of things the agent has generated a list of available apartments and houses for us. I will keep busy today look at that and short listing ones to go and view.

I have one group that left at VSC and the status is still Initial Review, lets hope those MAy filer who still at VSC be approved soon. Some of my group who got RFE on Sept 19 still no movement.

so far, we havent received our NOA 2 notice of approval in the mail. we are waiting for it before calling the DOS and NVC.

Hi, i read this from other forum and saved it. haven't tried this yet though

in DOS

press 1 then 0

but others do...

press 1 for main menu

press 4 for foreigners applying to come to us

press 2 for immigrant visa

press 3 for family or employer based visa

presss 2 for fiance visa

then

press 0 for operator

for nvc

press 2 for non haiti related issue (this changes)

press 1 for english

press 5 for operator
