On that note, will the USCIS website say when the file has been sent to the NVC? My status is still the same when we got our approval on August 28.

It will say that this approved and re-affirmed petition has been forwarded to the department of state or something like that

I called the department of state to see if my file reached NVC and was told that my file was sent to the embassy in Jamaica and returne to NVC and once they receive it back they will issue to case and invoice number. Confused, why not send it to NVC 1st them to the embassy to cut out an extra un-needed step!?!

Bloody idiots. ranting33va.gif

It should have gone to NVC first, it usually does. Someone's made a mistake. I'll get Amy to call DOS on Monday I think, that way it's been a full week and any issues like this will have been cleared up.

"What's yours is mine!"

Yeah you're right. We have been lucky up until now. It's not like i'm waiting on case number to book medical as its done already, and still waiting on fiance and co-sponsor documents from USA. Got my police check back and I have no record, so i'm all clear there.

Not sure if Ill be travelling Boxing day yet. I need to save all the cash I can with fights. Leaving Boxing day will cost $5,500 for the 4 of us. 19th Jan is looking good at $4,500, but going to travel agent so they can do the hard work for me after i'm done with interview. My kids dont finish school till 20th Dec, so anytime cheap after that, we'll go. I use skyscanner atm to check flights.

How is your journey going so far?

You have already got the major things done so once you get your case numberg things will be really quick :) Our wedding is March 1 so i need to be there at the latest early Jan so i'm hoping 3 months is enough to get between our NOA2 which was on the 18th September and the point of entry i am aim going for which is 26th December. I've been using expedia. Also checked out sky scanner and it gave me similar prices.

Our case was shipped September 20 to NVC so we are yet to hear about our case no. Hopefully it will arrive there soon i hope the same for yours too :)

We are thinking about a Feb 14th wedding, but no plans as yet. We aren't going to send ourselves bankrupt doing a wedding, but it will be nice and just the way we want it.

I was reading a thread the other day about VCS vs CSC. It seems that VCS are getting the notifications about file being shipped to NVC, but CSC aren't. CSC seem to wait till they have a month load of cases and send them once a month ( I could be wrong, but thats how it seems). I guess I can play the waiting game a little longer. Medical is booked without case number, so technically, I have 24 days to get our case number before the worry kicks in LOL

Medical is booked without case number, so technically, I have 24 days to get our case number before the worry kicks in LOL

where did you read that ozgirl?now im worried!!i read somewhere also somebody ask them about the waiting time for CSC and they say that it will take about 15 business days before they gonna shipped it to nvc. i dont know why they have to wait that long?!?!?!i guess your right about the month load of cases..guess its true that we have to wait for 6 to 8 weeks before it even get into their system..this waiting thing is really really stressing us both..and we dont even have a choice but to wait again..dont think im going to be there by thanksgiving...huhu!cray5ol.gif

Loads of info here:

People from mid/late Aug are still waiting. Seems CSC arent sending cases to NVC as quick as VCS is. 41 days (NOA2 to Case number) seems to be the average from CSC. sad.png

Update on my case:

My fiancé called DOS today to get my MNL case number and he got it, then he called NVC only thing they told him was our case was forwarded to Manila Sept 25th and they will contact me in future. Then i checked CEAC site and our status is READY for interview..

Hey congrats!

Would you let me know what the first step right after NOA2 and got shipped to NVC? Do we need to call NVC or DOS? And why do we need to call them? Aren't they gonna send us any email of document's list we need to submit next? I'm confused. Thanks before.
