Thanks Nurseling! Is there a difference between MNL number and the case number? Or are they the same thing?

You wont get a MNL number as that is for Manilla, Phillipines. Since you are Italy, Your NVC case number will start with NPL (Naples). Mine will be SYD for Sydney, Australia. etc

Don't worry oz girl mine took 19 days to get a case number wait another week it should be soon. There's a huge backlog in all areas of the government. Even in London right now I am still waiting on interview date which is taking roughly 6-8 weeks to get a appointment that would even be 4 weeks ahead. So all in all possible 3 months. Well we have got this far so what can we do but waits fingers crossed I get a letter before the end of this month for a appointment end of October. NVC backlog is having a nock on affect on the embassy's as well cos they are now at a backlog. We pray it will be soon for all of us.

Yeah.. My fiance is going to call again mid next week

I got packet 3 in an email (which I forwarded to him) & they mailed a copy that same day him (dates in my signature), my fiance just got the papers I sent him today in the mail, and his medical is Monday. He's waiting for his birth certificate to come in the mail, it takes about 25 days to process, and he filed for it 2 weeks ago. While he's out for his medical he's going to go get his police certificate, which should take about a week. Once he has his Birth & Police certificate he'll send in packet 3. Then it'll probably be a couple weeks until his interview. There are not a lot of cases going to the Buenos Aires embassy for visa. There were only 6 on the day that mine was shipped, but it averages 5-10 Visas a day, so they process them faster than they receive them.

Hang in there though, the backlog probably isn't too bad for the UK. They'll catch up ASAP. This just gives you more time to prepare for your love's arrival. Getting stuff in the house they'll need. I don't even have the money for my fiance's flight yet -- I ended up having to spend my savings on a new head gasket job for my car. :C

I was planning on booking his flight once we knew he passed the interview a few weeks in advance. The prices are pretty much the same so long as you book 3 weeks out. :) The flights still cost about $1k either way, which I can save up most of that in about a month or so, it's just a matter of putting the money away.

On September 20, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I wonder how long I have to wait for our verdict but its ok as long as I hear more good news here! FYI, as of todate my case is still:

Initial Review

On September 20, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I wonder how long I have to wait for our verdict but its ok as long as I hear more good news here! Looking forward for a positive results this week but my fiance will call them on monday so if there is anyone who have the same case of mine will have an idea about whats going on. dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

  • 10/2/13 left NVC
  • 11/25/2013 Received 221g requesting DNA testing on 2 of the 3 kids
  • 01/28/2014 DNA testing complete
  • 01/31/2014 DNA results in (he is the daddy...lol)
  • 02/04/2014 Letter mailed requesting passports to continue process
  • 02/11/2014 sent passports via DHL
  • 02/12/2014 Passports received by embassy

May 8, 2015....Biometric complete

May 27, 2015..Request for EAD expedite

June 3, 2015 ..Faxed expedite proof....waiting response....fingers crossed

June 4, 2015, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxxxxxxx, was assigned to an officer for response.

June 18, 2015 EAD CARD APPROVED AWAITING DELIVERY!!!

June 24,2015 EAD/AP combo card picked up by USPS

June 25, 2015 EAD/AP card received

October 6, 2015 email stating greencards in production!!!

Hello OF and OG. What date were you transferred to TSC? Please I will like to know the out come from your fiancé call to USCIS. We have the same NOA1 date. I am tagging along closely hoping to hear good news this week.
