Have you tried saving it and then going back to it at regular intervals? Here's what the DOS site says:

What happens if I need to step away in the middle of data entry?

You may save your partially completed DS-260 at any time by clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of every page. If you need to step away, simply click the "Save" button to save your progress, and click on "Sign Out" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. All data that you entered up to the point of clicking on "Save" will be stored until you are ready to continue completing the form.

To ensure your privacy if you step away in the middle of data entry, the DS-260 has a “time out” feature. If your DS-260 application is idle for approximately 20 minutes, CEAC will log you off. All data that you entered up to the last time you clicked "Save" will be stored until you are ready to continue completing the form. Any data that you entered after clicking "Save" will be lost.

"What's yours is mine!"

Have you tried saving it and then going back to it at regular intervals? Here's what the DOS site says:

The problem was I was using the ad so it wouldn't save. I have managed to fill it out and printed on my laptop now. it even gives you a confirmation page that your suppose to fill out or you can send a copy to your own email address.

Honestly the security questions were ludicrous. The form was a repetition of the ones I had already filled out and sent. They want dates month and year for everything. Employment telephone number and address. Surely they won't be calling up all your employers lol. I cannot wait till all this ####### is done with. Too much work Ryan way too much work.

Dont be disheartened by a RFE.. it's a good sign that they are working on your case.. I dont think there is a way other than the hardcopy letter that will explin what they need. But think about something you may have missed. It may be something as simple as forgetting a signature, or not dating photos etc. Hang in there.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding. Just looked through my whole package. Nothing really that i can point at. Everything was compiled with the help of that site. One thing though, i read one members report after he got request for RFE because he typed and then signed the letter of intent, which is exactly what we did. SC wanted the whole letter to be handwritten.

Thanks to all of you and to this website. When my phone vibrated and i saw who is the text from, my heart almost stopped. And when i looked at the details, i think it actually stopped - I was so upset about it. But now after doing some reading and some people experience with the RFE i have my hopes up. Will wait for a hard copy and pray that its something very simple, so i can send it and be done with it. Judging by the timelines and other reports, after RFE is received, approval usually follows very soon after.

RFE can be tricky. Some adjudicators can be picky. We typed our letter of intent and then signed and dated it with blue ink. Sometimes, if you sign with black ink on a typed form, it can look the same. I have read people getting RFE for something they have already provided. In that case they just made another copy of what was requested and sent the same thing back with no hassles. Some get RFE for non dated photos as mentioned above other dont. Just depend on adjudicators working on your case.

We got an RFE, but we knew exactly what it was as we didn't have the documents at the time of filing and figured we'd file anyway cause it would be few months of waiting and give then give them the items requested when they were asked for.

There is a master list of RFE that people have been given. Maybe have a read thru that and see i anything can jog your memory as to what they might be asking for while waiting for the hardcopy.

Good Luck

Don't lose hope. Trust me. I just had the same feeling when i got the RFE request. Its all the waiting game. It sucks, yes. Because of some little thing we have to wait longer. But on the positive side, we know that our case is being worked on, not just collecting dust. Give it some time, you'll get the NOA2 soon.

THANK you sooo much :)

We went out for dinner and on our way back I checked my emails and saw the USCIS email with the approval notification. And then I checked the USCIS website to be sure..... :)

So we got the email on Sept. 12th at 9.30 p.m. (I am in the U.S. right now - East coast) which is 7.30 p.m. for Texas where we got transferred to in August.

I am sure your NOA2 will follow soon. Fingers are crossed :) :)
