just received my 3rd email/text. Things work out according to God's plan. I was nervous because I lost my job and didn't think I could afford to continue the process. Now I have 2 flexible teaching jobs and my sister has agreed to asdist me with fees and to co-sponsor!!!

Come on approval, I am ready now :-)

Fair enough. Don't think Amy got her hardcopy yet, but then it's a long way from TX to RI.

So Rhode Island is your POE. Nice place stayed there for 3 months back in 2002. My daughter was pretty young then so she went to a school called Thornton. First time I didn't have to make a school run myself as the school bus came to pick her and drop her off. It was great. Loved providence that's where we were spent most of my time being a mall rat since I had nothing better to do lol. I could swear I had cheeks that resembled aunts Anne's pretzels I ate it every day in 3 months I got myself a 20lbs weight gain doing nothing lol. Can you imagine being 130 to going to 150 lbs that when I knew it had to stop so got myself a ab- dor. An began excersising dropped the 20lbs when I stayed away from the mall. Too much food there the temptation is so great to taste things. Learned a lesson though. Don't try everything you see or you will be fat lol.

Loved the fact that Massachusetts was tax free great shopping experiance. Went to boat on to watch the Boston celtics play great experiance. It's a nice quiet place to live RI. You will enjoy living there makes a change from busy London.

Good to see Texas has received your file now fingers crossed in the next few weeks approval;)

Almost one month since I got transferred to Texas. When will they start approval VSC-TSC May filers?

My fiance got the transfer letter on the weekend too. Any news on any touches on our transferred files?

Finally got my NoA2 Hardcopy in the mail!

Congrats.. We got our NOA2 hardcopy in the mail today too. Just booked in for next week for my police check. I'll call DOS maybe end of next week to see if NVC case number has been assigned

to be honest Ozgirl don't worry about the system from this point onwards it doesn't get updated. Mine has been stuck at post decision since the 29 th of July when we got approved I even checked on a few other people's receipt number that got approved before me none of them have changed. When you get your case number you can start tracking again on the CEAC website that gets updated regularly when things change. Mine was updated on the 4 th September last when thy received my packet 3 forms.

Yes few weeks before NVC ones their job. Bare in mind though now they have a terrible backlog it may take longer i know there's been a lot of complaints from people regarding NVC time and case number. The good thing is the approval is there so your on your way.

Went to get my fingerprint based police check taken today. At least that is one thing getting done in prep for our NOA2.

So our police check must also have fingerprints?? I ordered my criminal record check from the RCMP in my hometown, but not the one w/ finger prints.

Went to get my fingerprint based police check taken today. At least that is one thing getting done in prep for our NOA2.

Let me know when you get it please.. It says that it takes 20 business days for it to come back.. eekkk Hoping we should have out NVC number by then and then we can organise medicals and then we'll be ready for interview once packet 3 arrives or I send it to them earlier.

Yes it does. I would think it would be the same in Canada.

I know that the US embassy here in Australia requires a fingerprint based check. You should maybe check with the instructions for Canada just incase.

Yep sounds like the right thing. I called up and asked for fingerprints check and she asked what it was for. I told her immigration purposes. She then told me it was $144, need to fill out the online application form, print it and pay via cheque as they dont accept cash or card. It's a name and fingerprint check.

Awesome, sounds like mine exactly. I paid $144. I did it at the one in the metropolitan area in the city at Docklands as it's near my workplace so had the appointment before heading to work. Yes that's right, they don't accept cash. Although i know the one in Docklands (maybe because it's Metropolitan) accepts cards. I used debit mastercard to pay. Easy done.

Cool.. I'm not near Melb, but thankfully I'm in one of the few rural areas that do have a fingerprinting at the local police station. I do have to travel 3.5hrs down to Melb to have medicals thou and then 3.5hrs back again.. Hoping to do that this school holidays.
