If you have already received your NOA2, you have to wait to receive a letter or some sort of notification from NVC for the next number that's being sent to your consulate. Try calling NVC but it may be to soon.

Hey milky, if its just statement of intent to marry within 90 days that's easily fixed. Get it done as soon as you receive the hard copy. Wish you the best.

It says if we wanna email them to either use our USCIS # or NVC # but is that NVC # something that we will get BEFORE the embassy case #? This is getting a bit hairy to me.....................

This is correct.

However some people's status does get updated informing them that their file has been forwarded to NVC. Not everyone gets this message.

When do we get the NVC #?

You can call NVC to receive this number. However bare in mind they only approved you on the 29th July. Realistically you should wait for two weeks before calling them up. If you do not wish to wait then call them every few days to check. The number for NVC is 6033340700

You can also email them if you so wish. Yes you will need to use your receipt number the one that begins with EAC if you are going to call them. Also yes you need to use your receipt number if you are going to email them as we'll. furthermore in your email you will need to include the name of petitioner and beneficiary as well as the date of births so they are able to identify your file.

The NUmber NVC will give you when you call them is the number you will use to schedule your medical. It is also the same number your consulate will be using to correspond to you when you get packet 3.

You will need a police certificate done. The police certificate will be needed at your medical along with passport pictures and your case number. The NVC will give you this number when you call them and that is only if they have received your file from USCIS and have assigned this number to you.

At this point the only thing I suggest is for you to site tight and call NVC every few days till you receive your new case number. You can kill time and download some of the forms and start filling them in for packet 3. If you go in to the download section on this site you will find the required forms. Also I suggest you start preparing i134 affidavits of support to send to your fiancé along with the evidence/ proof of support. e.g letter from employer, letter from bank, tax returns, pay stubs, assets etc anything that will help proof to them your able to support your fiancé when she arrives in the USA.hope this a little clearer.

I've been away for work but I wanted to pass on some info. So my NOA2 was July 18th. I just got off the phone with someone from the NVC and was told that the Embassy received the petition on Aug 1st. That means they got it exactly 2 weeks from my NOA2 date. I wanted to let everyone know so you can all start calling them to check the status. I think there is definitely some good vibes going around for us May people. Good luck and keep on keeping on.

Once completed the form(s) should be mailed to the Immigrant Visa Unit. See "Contact and Mailing Address" on the right-hand side of the page. Note: The failure to return the forms promptly will delay the processing of your application.

Welcome back and hank you so much for sharing that information with all of us. We all have to help each other out. I did call them yesterday knowing that they would not have received my file I just took a chance. I was right they told me it could take up to 8 weeks. So I will site tight and call back next week.

Please fill this form and provide evidence of financial support for your fiance. Also guys please check the income guidelines to make sure your income is adequate to support your fiance. I suggest getting letters from employer, pay stubs, bank letter, tax returns assets etc anything that you can use to proof you are able to support your fiance once they arrive in the USA. This is a requirement for all applicants in order to get your visa approved.

So is the # that they will going to be the NVC # or the MLA Case #? I need to know the difference between the 2 please. Also, what is the purpose of the Alien #? I see this # next to her name/beneficiary, starts with A205 xxx xxx.
