HI to all,

I met my fiance in person last may 2006 and petitioned her last jun2006 immediately when i got back to the USA. it got approved and the NVC sent the approval already (this nov 2006)in MANILA. I went back there last Oct to see her, and afterwards we found out she is now pregnant. :D

My question is that how will this affect my petition for her? when she goes for her medical exam she will need to tell them that she is pregnant. Will the Us embassy ask for proof that i was there during the month of OCt. Will this delay my petition for her? The papers i have on file is when i was there in May not in Oct. Will they even doubt that i am the father of the baby?

thanks for reading this post, hope you guys can help!

I am not 100% sure and I am only offering my opinion...

I dont see why they should question the father of your child. On the second point you do need to be completly honest during the medical, I dont see how being pregnant should cause any problems..

I wish you both all the best on your journey

Her pregnancy has no impact on the petition. Of course at the medical she will tell them to avoid xrays and vaccinations. Nothing in the petition or visa process requires you to prove paternity - there is no reason there will be any delay. Fiances get pregnant - it's not a big deal.

sepjon,

The question may be asked. It has been on ocassion. (And on ocassion it's been found that the US fiance was not the father.)

Chances of it being an issue will be greatly increased if information in the medical report is not consistent with your last visit.

I have a personal friend who was 4 months pregnant at her exam and interview and its not a problem. They may skip some xrays and/or vaccinations depending on how far she is along.

Whether or not you are the father is between you and her, unless they have some reason to believe you are not the father then I suppose that could be a problem.

I went for my medical last month and I was 6 months pregnant. I did not have to have the X-Ray or the MMR vaccine. I did have to have the Tetnus vaccine though.

Don't worry at all.. if they asked for an evidence that you was there just send her a copy of your passport stamped with the visa to Manila ..also I think she should tell them during her medical because they will make her have an Xray which is harmful to the baby ..she dhould tell them she is pregnant and she will not have th eX ray or the vaccinations neither ..vaccinations are teratogenic so I really think you should tell them esp. it 's a good proof for you rstrong relationship to your fiance..

Good luck
