You should normally receive your NOA1 within 30 days. If you don't, you have the right to contact USCIS to inquire. You can also make an InfoPass appointment to get your passport stamped if you are worried that you may not get a NOA before your green card expiration date.

CSC was known to send NOA1s out very fast (i.e. within 1-2 weeks of filing) up until now, however in recent weeks there has been some stalling for no known reason and there are some CSC filers approaching the 30-day mark with no NOA1 letters as of yet. But they still haven't hit the 30-day mark, so it could very well be that they get their NOAs just in time.

It would typically just take a week or so, depending where you live. But I've been following the April thread and only 9 people (3 CSC, 6 VSC) have gotten their NOAs so far :/ Looks like there's been some kind of slowdown at the service centers.

Latest data here for April: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422393-i-751-april-2013-filers/page-19#entry6202427

I sent it Priority Mail and because I'm in LA and it was being sent to Laguna Niguel (Orange County), it still got there the next day.

I didn't use signature confirmation either, but did have delivery tracking and that's how I know it got there the day after.

If USPS says it's been delivered, it's there - I wouldn't worry about it. It's just a matter of someone picking it up from the PO box and then it sitting on a desk for hopefully no more than a few days, until someone can look at it, see it's complete, send the check to be cashed and issue your NOA.

I wouldn't worry if it's less than 30 days though. You can always keep an eye on your bank account and once you see your check cashed, you will know that your NOA letter should follow soon.

Best of luck! smile.png
