Haha... okay maybe I'm a little to excited and emailed the USEM 1 week after submitting my petition...

so i submitted my petition on April 24 and emailed them today.. May 2.

They replied to me on the same day ... actually in an hour they've already responded and stated that...

On April 29 the USCIS Manila has received the petition and is currently being reviewed...

do you think it'll get approved soon?

btw, I thought that they would review it atleast on the same day as I had sent the petition... so yea... :]

As you can tell, I'm overly excited hehe.. :]

thanks guys!

You are several months away from the embassy receiving your petition. It first has to be reviewed by the service center, then after it is approved it will be sent to the embassy.

Give yourself a few months at least for the approval, than another couple of months until you get scheduled for interview.

They are DCF - Direct Consulate Filing. Totally different animal then the standard petition process for IR/CR-1.

(sort of reminds me of someone else that was a DCF... rolleyes.gif )

It' a mystery to me why the Manila USCIS didn't drop everything and approve your petition the moment they received it. You had better call them right away and remind them that it's been four whole days already!

Ya know, I always heard that if the USCitizen came in, personally, first thing in the morning, and asked for same day adjudication from one of the USCitizens working at the USCIS office there in Manila,

he'd get it.

Please describe your 'intake' to USCIS in Manila ? TIA !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
