Truly disgusting.

An ad for Mountain Dew created by the founder of hip-hop group Odd Future has been pulled after critics lambasted its violent undertones and one called it ”arguably the most racist commercial in history.”

They really thought that was an acceptable commercial? Somebody was not thinking clearly.

I don't know how this thing even saw the light of day. The very concept should have been shot down before it reached the drawing board.

I saw a few seconds of it since ABC isn't blocked here, I swear sometimes we are our own worst enemies. I was thinking about starting a blog to raise awareness on some of the things we could do, but I don't know where to begin.

Foolish commercial done in bad taste, but I fail to see the racism in it. The commercial was created by one of the black people in it. How does that convey to racism?

This is gonna go down the route of who "gets" to use the N word, why others don't, and the fairness of not being able to.

I'm of the school that one cannot be racist against their own race.

odd future is primarily made up of surburban skateborders, they are pretty far removed from the gangster scene. that's why the commercial is confusing to me i guess..

I am racist against people of my own race all the time. Especially the fresh off the boat fukcers, hate em.

But there's others of your own race that you like, correct?

This is why I get so fired up when I see something like this, we claim racism if a white person does it, but our own people get a pass. That's BS. Ignorance knows no color, he should have known better. You can be funny without being racist, but it takes skill. Same thing with Rhianna(sp) taking a picture with a black baby and saying my lil n****. How can we rise above it when we condone the very behavior that we condemn others for when they have fair skin.
