Can no longer login to USCIS

So i've logged in no problem every day this week, and for some reason today i login and get the following errors:

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

• Your account has been locked for one of the following reasons:
  (1) Account inactivity.
  (2) Too many unsuccessful login attempts.

Has anyone else seen or experienced this? I don't see how or why someone would try and hack a uscis account but i'm bloody confused! Just changed my password a month ago so i know its not expired. Guess i'll try again later this afternoon and see if its still borked.

you need to change your password every so often, when it is time to change it you get this message

The only tiem I ever had that error message was when my password had expired! Have u checked that as an option?

Just changed it like last month and usually i'll get a warning and since i logged in every day this week, it never gave a warning to me. I guess i can try and reset it. Just really odd. usually if it is expired it says so and tells me to change.

Sometimes the online thing breaks. Nothing to worry about. Just wait a day and check then.

I had the same thing happen to me, I just set up a new account. You will need a different email address though.

I had to create a new account. I used a new email address. Well I used a little-known gmail trick:

Let's say your email account is:

someuser@gmail.com

Then you can start making up your own email addresses, like so:

someuser+spamtracker@gmail.com

(i.e. just put a '+' after your user name and then any old stuff you want after it, but before the '@')

This is useful when you need "new" addresses. It also lets you filter messages in gmail or track who is doing evil things with your email, etc.

Some services will tag this as an invalid email address. USCIS does not.

Kimbear, I just got that same message now.

I clicked on "Forgot Your User ID or Password", and then followed the directions to reset the password. All is good now.

Ya i ended up doing that and it worked as well. Stupid glitch in the system, i guess they no longer tell you when to change passwords or they have shorted the time between changes. ah well all good it works now! Thanks all
