Just heard from Hamid about an hour ago. He was approved, with the standard ap/ar. They told him he would be called back in "6 or 7 days." Thought that was a strange quote for the amount of time it would take, considering 6 days would be a Sunday! :D He said the interview was easy, and the woman laughed and joked during the interview. He said the most difficult question was about my previous relationship (not married).

He said an "old man" who wanted to see his grandkids got denied, and he felt bad for that. He said he would meet with Hicham (of Angela and Hicham) to see how his went.

I'll give more specifics about the interview later today.

Congratulations Liz... great news! For some reason I can't access the cheerleading thread and it looks like there's good news there, so hopefully I can read it later! I hope he's home w/ you soon.

Congratulations on the visa!! :D:D:D

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

hi everyone,

Spoke with Said about two hours ago and we were approved as well. She told him that he has the standard AP and will be called 7 to 10 days. He had a really nice woman who interviewed him for about 10 minutes and only asked to see all of our pics which she looked at every single one and her and Said were laughing together. She asked my name, work (very specific on that...guess it is because im a social worker and she wanted to know from him what i actually did with people), my brother, where i lived, how many times i visited him, and so far that is what i can remember. he was with his friends and talking up a storm...i'll get exact stuff tonite when i see him online. As for him coming home...im visiting him 12/21 and im looking to bring home on my flight 1/6..whoohoo!! Finally that step is completed...good luck to Angel and Hicham and congratulations out to Liz.

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear the good news. Interesting that they told you a different time frame, 7-10 days. I wonder why that is? I've heard other people told different time frames too. Any ideas anyone?
