Nothing happened after biometrics...

I did an early biometrics early April, but haven't received anything since then. I noticed that many applicants received their in-line letters only a few days after fingerprints taken. Is my case normal? Thanks.

Yes, your case is very normal. Everybody files in different areas and some field offices have many more applicants than others. That's the main reason for the wide variations in processing times. I think USCIS has 90 days after biometrics to schedule the interview before we can call them for more information. Based on that you're still well within normal processing times. Hang tight, you'll hear something soon. yes.gif

Not sure what you're expecting to receive? They may not update your case until they schedule you for an interview and even then some people just get the inetrview letter in the mail. Take a look at the recent timelines for people who went through the same local office as you to get an idea of how long your wait will be.

Its mostly hurry up and wait from now on. Sit tight, you're a PR, go about your daily stuff and the letter will come when it comes.

That's normal indeed. Just to make it clear, no one receives "in-line letters," but most of the time USCIS sends an email or a text message when they update your status online to being in line for interview scheduling.

Some people are placed in line for an interview within a few days to a few months after their biometric appointment. Others don't get a status update for being in line but they receive their interview letter at some point. In my case, I was placed in line for an interview two days after my biometrics and it stayed that way for one month and 15 days without any update. Being in line DOES NOT ALWAYS guarantee that you will have your interview letter immediately.

That or you wont have an interview and wait 9+ months to have your greencard in hand. I got my biometrics on Feb 6th, received EAD/AP end of March but no letter for an interview

The OP has applied for N-400, not I-485. Please read carefully next time.
