Hello, I am waiting to receive my Manila case number for an I-129F petition. I am calling NVC each day and expect to have the case number within the next few days. My question is.......do I have to be concerned about the possibility of scheduling the interview too soon? What I mean is how long does it take for my file to reach Manila and be in the Embassy? Is there a certain number of days or weeks that is recommended passing by before setting the interview day? Thanks for any responses.

Once you get your MNL#, give it about 2 weeks for your file to be delivered from NVC to US Embassy in Manila. I have read here that some had scheduled their interview before the petition arrived at the embassy and they had to reschedule the interview because they cannot be interviewed without the file.

Also, the medical exam should be done at least one week before the interview. Good luck! :)
