Hello. My fiance has her interview tomorrow, Thursday, May 2.

We have planned a wedding for May 19. I know, crazy idea, but we have and we are keeping fingers crossed.

Anyways.

I know they ask questions about the wedding plans.

Will it be okay to tell them we have plans to marry on May 19?

Thank you!

Why wouldn't it? The point of the K-1 is to enter the USA and get married. They kind of expect you to have some kind of plan for marriage.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Your official response should be, "We plan to marry within 90 days of my entry into the US."

No need to mention a specific date. You may also be queried about this requirement at POE.

From my experience, they will look at the information provided by the petitioner in the cover letter. They will ask specific questions from this information such as where you met, where you will live, when you will be married, and anything else included in this letter. I have been through two embassy interviews with a fiance, and they were very easy and short. I would be more worried about the interview at the airport where your fiance comes into the country. These were really rough. They grilled the fiance extensively for about 20 minutes each time before admission into the states was granted and the officers were not nice at all. They dont just ask questions and accept the answer, or look for correct answers. They continue to interrogate to make sure you dont change your answer, and then go back later to the same queston and ask again to check. Not like that at the embassy. In the airport they asked questions like: are you just coming here to get into the US? Are you really going to get married, or are you just trying to get into the country? How can you marry someone you barely know? ad nauseum.

[...] embassy interviews with a fiance [...] were very easy and short.

The ease can depend heavily on the consulate. The OP appears to be dealing with Montreal, which is not known as a high-fraud consulate.

In answer to my question at the time, two immigration attorneys separately told me that K-1 beneficiaries are rarely given a hard time at POE, because CBP figures that they've been recently investigated (or run through the wringer) at the consulate. However, CBP can refuse entry for any reason that a consulate would, or for something that the consulate may have missed.

I had a friend got interview and consul asked her if they had wedding plans? She answer not yet but once she get approved then they will start to make a plan. But the wedding g will be in  Las Vegas.

Consul approved her. But it seems her visa takes long. Almost 3weeks now she didn't get her visa yet.

do you think her answer is wrong?

No, that answer isn't wrong.

I got asked the same question, whether or not I had any wedding plans, and my answer was that it was too difficult to plan anything with such short notice, but that we would be getting married within the 90 days.

The only wrong answer is "no, we're not getting married". :P

This is what my wife did to get her annotated divorce/annulment certified for the interview. Maybe this will help you guys.

  1. Once you attain the divorce you will need the decision of the divorce (works also for an annulment), entry of judgment, then the decree of divorce (annulment).
  2. Then you’ll need to secure copy of the marriage contract with the divorce (annulment) annotated on it. A total of four documents.
  3. You’ll need to wait 20 days from receipt of the Solicitor General of copy of the decision before you can secure the Entry of Judgment.
  4. After securing the Entry of Judgment, you will have to register the same to the Local Civil Registrar where the marriage took place or Filipino’s hometown. The said office will transmit the same to the NSO.
  5. You will show the Court what date the LCR transmitted the documents to the NSO. With the proof of receipt of the NSO, the Court will then issue the Decree of Divorce (Annulment). After 15 days from receipt of the NSO of your documents, you can now request a copy of the marriage contract with the annotated divorce (annulment) proceedings. You need to request at least 4 certified copies for future use.
