Do you know any web site where I can SAVE the typed data for DS-130, 156, 156K, and 157 forms?

In all links that I found I can fill out the forms, but I cant save the information. My fiance lives in Cuba (no internet access) and I need to send her these completed forms.

Sorry for my tech ingnorance...but you said: "tDownload a pdf printer and then fill out the forms and "print to pdf" you can then email the documents"

I have dowloaded the form, I fill out the form but I can't save it. I know that if I use a scan I can save it and then send it by mail, but when I type my information on these forms I want to save it, I can't do it..

instead of saving it -

suggest you 'print to pdf' instead.

so, get a pdf print driver. I like CutePDF very much - is easy to install and use. See http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp

When you are finished with the I-130, filling it out, print it to PDF file , then you can email the pdf file ...

The thing bigdog mentioned about print and scan, IMO, is a waste of paper and electricity, and really smacks of low-tech.

I downloaded my forms from uscis site. when you open form it has save icon. I clicked it and it was saved in my documents. From there I could work on it and save data. When finished I just sent an email and attached the form from my documents. If having trouble saving, right click while document is up and save from there. I am tech illerate, but it worked for me.

ok - so you downloaded it - but did you install it ?

once installed, you now have a new printer device.

set that new print device as default,

then print inside yer pdf reader program

a new dialog should pop up, asking for output file name and location.

You need to make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader, older versions don't always save the information, my fiancee had that problem. Also, you cannot always save with the same filename (it's because the document is marked as 'Secured' i think) so each save use a new filename then when you close Reader just delete the older ones.

Then when you're ready, print them. I printed all the forms for my fiancee and then sent them to her.

This does NOT work for the DS156 which you must fill out and then print, there is no chance to save this, they suggest printing out a blank form first, fill it in by hand, then when you are sure you have that right go to a computer which has a printer and enter all the information...the last thing you want is to start that form then find you have some information missing, you'll have to start all over!

Good luck!
