I never herd of this and I am so glad its around she is such a wonderful woman and she deserves the win. She has not yet been able to come to the USA yet but her interview is in the late summer sometime. I got selected, very lucky as it's only my second time entering. My case number is pretty high for Oceania area though - 2990, so I'm pretty concerned I'm not going to get processed as looking at past years bulletins, Oceania doesn't reach that high in numbers. Does anyone know what CURRENT means on the table in the Visa Bulletin? Does this mean there's no longer a number limitation? Anyone got any thoughts on my chances with this number?

when you click on the link from the page stating you are invited to apply there is a separate section for you to click on if you are wanting to AOS. From memory I think it is at the bottom of the page on step one.

I've been selected in Australia? What would be considered a low case number in Oceania? Anyone help?

Congrats to everyone who got chosen - all 125,000 of us!!

Hi skmin1, serac & littlej - I am another lucky Aussie! I found this page googling Oceania case numbers - I thought mine was high (1800+) because I also looked at the current visa bulletins which are still in the low thousands. I wonder how high the case numbers go? And how many people don't actually apply? Based on previous years, it looks like I won't even get an interview? Want to get excited but now wondering if we will even get to the next stage!!

MJOZNZ, Have a look at this thread on the numbers and what CURRENT means on the visa bulletin: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/429570-where-can-i-find-a-visa-bulletin-archive-with-numbers-instead-of-just-current/

For the final month of the 2012 processing the visa bulletin changed the numbers to CURRENT, which appears to mean that it gets opened up to everyone who hasn't has their number called yet. Whether that is actually the case or whether they get around to everyone still is another thing, but if the numbers go to CURRENT again this time around, we might still have a chance, even with a high number. My number is very high so I'm still doubtful, but like all of us, only time will tell.
