A lot of this data seems low

There aren't that many blue counties, even in blue states

I love when these people say "oh it's low where I live, i live in such and such state, it's safe democratic" but forget to report how their county voted.

i don't get it.

Bexar County, Texas (San Antonio)

314,747 people are in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in your county.

About 17 percent of people in your county are in the program.

That proportion has grown 122 percent since 2000.

The participants received $254,737,000 in benefits.

That's $809 per person per year.

Or $67 per person per month.

I don't even have to look to know that's a blue county. LOL

OOPs or Monmouth County.

A red Texas county:

6% in the program (42,325)

+375% since 2000 (!!?)

$37,695,000 in benefits

$891 per person per year

$74/mo.

Edited to add: forgot that this county was one of the fastest-growing in Texas and probably the U.S.
