I had my interview yesterday, and after a long wait, I was approved. Thank you all for your help throughout this 3 year journey! One more step to go!

Congrats! Tampa is my field office also and I have been following your timeline as your just a few months behind me. I was happy to see that things started moving along for you. I am waiting for my interview letter as I have been scheduled as of Monday.

Thankfully its almost over!

Please update. I attended the Oath Ceremony today and I am now a US Citizen. I received my Citizenship certificate and applied for expedite passport as im travelling overseas shortly. Please mark in red the end of this process. Thank you guys for the support and positive feedback that you have givene, Without the support of people in here, this journey wouldn't have been relatively possible. We are in Alexandria, VA and she passed the test on 9/18. I was trying to predict when she will have her oath ceremony here, because a name change is involved, so I guess that would take longer.

Just found out this information on USCIS about constitution day and citizenship day ceremonies. Hope this will make the wait a lot shorter :-)

No change on the website still shows interview which was passed 3 weeks ago!

No letter No Oath Ceremony his parents go back in couple of weeks so I am guessing they will not be here to see it now!

Ann Marie did hers on 9/17/2013 at Golden Hall, in San Diego, CA, maybe the citzenship day thing was why there were almost 1000 people taking the oath. Due to Citzenship day they allowed folks to go to the 3 day passport office and apply for passport, and we received her new US passport today 9/20/2013 in the mail.

I just checked my status online. It says they put me in line for scheduling an interview on 17th september. Originally I was placed in line for scheduling an interview on june 7th. Does anyone know what this status means?? Thank you!

Hi!

I just came back from my interview and oath ceremony. It wen great! Just took like 5 min. Everybody here in Portlandia are so nice! The IO welcomed me with a big smile. She asked the usual questions about travel, and marriage. Just questions from the form. I told her I traveled to Mexico and that I had a speed ticket. She already knew about my trip and did not care about the ticket. She asked me to sign my pictures and at the end asked me the civics/history questions.

Who vetoes bills? The president

What is the Law of the Land? The Constitution

What is the Capital of my State? Salem

Who do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance? The flag of the United States

Who did the US fight in World War II? Japan, Germany, and Italy

What is an amendment? An addition to the Constitution

For English test, she asked me to read: Where is the White House?

And write: The White House is in Washington, D.C.

I had my oath Ceremony that afternoon at 2 pm. There were 50 new citizens from 23 different countries. We registered to vote after the ceremony.

It went so fast I just cannot believe it is over!
