Hubby is in his interview as I type. I'm waiting outside for him. So excited and nervous at the same time! The interviewer didn't seem pleasant but I hope she is more pleasant in her office! Lol

Ok so here is the run down... Our appt was at 1:50 and interviewer took him at 2:10. He was done at 2:40.

First she asked for his drivers license which he forgot! Lol so she let it go. Then she asked about 2012 tax returns which I have not filed yet bc I have an extension but I forgot to bring the files extension notice... She said let's continue. Then she went over the questions from the n400 app. Then she asked the birthday of our daughter and we didn't have a Birth cert yet bc she was just born last month so I had her social security card and letter from the hospital and interviewer reviewed those two things. Then she asked my husband what his brthdate is and whether either of us were previously married or had other children. Then she asked how we met. Where we live and if we pay a mortgage. I provided a letter from my family that we live with them. When all that was done: she had him read something which he doesn't remember what he read! Lol she made him write: "we pay taxes" and she asked the following questions:

1: how many senators

2: what's border to Mexico

3: what is the ocean on the east coast

4: what is selective service

5: date constitution was written

Then she asked for a copy of his passport...

And finally she gave him a white paper saying that he passed!!!!

Woohoo!!!!

Now I'm just going to wait for an update online!!!

Thanks for the replies I have a letter from the specialist school plus all his old school reports from that school.

He is also trying his best with the reading & writing but at 31 you can not expect much change if you are Dyslexic it is for life, they generally figure another way around a problem. He has no problem with the test questions as he has a way to remember things.

I am not sure if a Dr could confirm Dyslexia?

I am just praying for a sympathetic interviewer & we did put it on the forms that he would require help, he obviously speaks English but writing & reading are very difficult.

I will look at the other interview questions from Mar & Feb as well to help him, it is nerve wracking!

Good luck! I am sure it is going to be very well good.gif

Ok here goes... I had my interview today at the 26 federal plaza in newyork, had to be there for 0930 didn"t get called until 1015ClockWatch2.gif , i had the sweetest interviewer ever, she was so pleasant i forgot for a minute that i was in an interview... even when she was asking me to lift my hand to tell the truth we were cracking jokes..... She then hurriedly went over my application form, then asked me to :

1 read the sentence... How many senators do we have

2 write the sentence ...... we have 100 senators..... still cracking jokes while doing this....rofl.gif then she asked me only three questions...

1 what does the constitution do

2 what did the declaration independence do

3 we elect a us senator for how many years.... Then said congratulations you have been referred for approval interview itself was less that 10 minutes..... asked her what about the other three questions she said no need..... we sat there for about 5 more minutes after the interview chatting..... Best lady ever... told me i should get my oath letter in the mail within 45 days, it can be as long as 120, but don't worry i'll get it faster...lololol... please update ...Thanks guys

Well Today was the Day , Finally after 3 years of Adjustment of status change , then petition to get Step son here , ROC and then the big one this morning ...WOW !!! its great to finally know when we travel we dont have to apply for this Visa and that Visa ..... And I know its been said on here a million times , But thanks to all the people on this forum and the forum itself , VJ helped in many ways ...Not once did we have to use an attorney and we had a lot of stuff we had to do , considering before we even got married my wife had to get divorced from her husband in the Philippines from the USA ...Not an easy task considering the Philippines doesnt recognize divorce...but everything worked like clockwork and we are so Happy ...

Now on to the interview - Today was our interview or should I say my wifes interview ...appointment was at 7:15 .....we were there at 7am after a 2 mile drive (yes the USCIS office is that close) - Once checked in and through security we sat in the waiting room ..I guess we were all the first interviews of the day , @7:21 am they called my wife , I kissed her and wished her luck ---- The interviewer was younger and he had been in there a few minutes earlier and apparently he noticed my wife and i there cause he mentioned that in the interview to my wife

Her recall : They walked back to his office , he asked for ID , she raised her hand and swore then sat down ...The interviewer asked her if she had certified copies of divorce decrees of course she did , he asked about if I was her husband in the waiting room , asked about our kids (we dont have any together, but 3 total between our meshed family ) , he then asked her 6 questions to which she answered all correctly ...

1.Who takes over if the Pres and Vice Pres cant serve : Speaker of the House

2. When is Independence Day : July 4th

3. Name a Branch of the Government : executive

She doesnt recall the other ones at the time of me typing this .... The written test part was ; Columbus Day is celebrated in October

After that it was pretty much done ......Total time for interview 8 minutes ...Thats right 8 minutes ....We were home in less then an hour from the time we left .....

When she cam out of the interviewing offices everyone looked cause they couldnt believe how fast it went , the look on most peoples faces appeared as if they thought she may have been denied ...Heck even I wasnt sure when she came out ....But She had her paper saying "Congratulations you have passed "

So now we just wait for the Oath Date ...wahoooooooooooooo We are so happy that the light at the end of the tunnel is bright as can be now ..
