Hi,

Just came back from my biometrics. At last minute I realized they moved their usual location, over the same street but around ten blocks north, and they did not say anytining in the notice mad.gif Be sure they are in the same address before you go!

Otherwise, it went very well. Got there at 11:45 (my appointment was at 12:00) and got out at 12:05. They gave me the usual book and CD to study. Everybody was very corteous and friendly

I will start studying after taking my certification test for Pharmacy Technician. Too many things to do!

Bio done !!!!! Funny story , USCIS office was 8 miles away and thats where we went for AOS, Then ROC so we assumed it was same place , WRONG they moved .....should have looked at the address on the form ...Well , it turned out the new offices is a little over a mile from the house ..WOW great to know for the interview ...anyway , Bio went smooth and fast , in and out within 45 minutes ......bring on the interview ...LOL

Hi everyone ...

Just had a quick question. Not sure if it is going to make sense but ill give it a shot.

I was wondering about the letter notifying the applicant of the interview. I noticed that the interview can be anywhere around 3 months after the application is submitted... I was wondering if the letter comes closer to the interview date or if we get the letter soon and the interview is scheduled for 3 months later?

I hope my question makes sense! Lol

I'm asking bc I just want to know if I should just relax for the next few months and not check anything daily or possibly look forward to something new in the mail soon!

Hi everyone ...

Just had a quick question. Not sure if it is going to make sense but ill give it a shot.

I was wondering about the letter notifying the applicant of the interview. I noticed that the interview can be anywhere around 3 months after the application is submitted... I was wondering if the letter comes closer to the interview date or if we get the letter soon and the interview is scheduled for 3 months later?

I hope my question makes sense! Lol

I'm asking bc I just want to know if I should just relax for the next few months and not check anything daily or possibly look forward to something new in the mail soon!

That really depends on the office, usually takes _around_ 1.5 months from the time of Biometric Fingerprint to 3 months (or even longer). I live in Southern California (but nowhere near Orange County, CA; more like West Los Angeles) and it took me exactly 2 months and 6 days from the time I took my biometric fingerprinting to the day of the interview.

You don't have to keep checking for anything daily because there is a service over at USCIS website where it allows the applicant to register for automatic case status updates by e-mail and text messages by simply creating an account.

URL: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do , make sure you click on "creating an account" between the two boxes (Your Current Case Status and Processing Times), you can register for text message only or e-mail only or BOTH.

Here is an SMS message from USCIS on my phone to give you an idea on what to expect, mind you if you choose the text message route it's a generic message which means it's not dynamic to suit your specific case other than your case number, to check for more info you need to head over to their website:

Hello everyone!

I got my Bio Appointment Notice in the mail today. It's scheduled for 06/13/13. I have not yet received my Permanent Residence Green Card from USCIS, so I am going to try and take my expired green card, plus the original of the Approval Notice, plus a copy. I really hope I can pull it off. I will keep you posted. Please update the info on my appointment? Thank you so much!!!! :)
