So I hope I am not correct but looks like H2B visa were delayed because of a court order, and now they are allowed to approve. They will also allow premium processing starting today.

I can't help and think this is why CSC is slowing down in the last 2 days. The timing seems right.

Again I really hope I am wrong, and someone can prove me wrong but for now.. sad.png

Why are other visa classes given the opportunity to pay for premium processing, but mention the same for K1 visas (or I suppose any other family-based visa type) and the masses come out with torches and pitchforks? Corporations and businesses continue to receive benefits denied to citizens. Hmmmm.

Thank you for finding this news. I do hope it's the reason why these last two days are so awful ... at least if there's a logical reason, I can hold out hope that they will keep processing K-1's soon and not just STOP the way they did in December .... I woke up crying this morning because we are SO CLOSE and only days away from being approved, if they would just keep working on our cases!

Let´s not give up hope yet and continue watching what they do until the end of the week.

I thought there could be a correlation with the VJ site not working properly and people being unable to update their timelines for a couple of days. Right when this site was being updated is when we stopped seeing that huge amount of approvals. I am assuming that not everybody checks this site several times a day and possibly thought they´ll come back later when it´s working again,

Just a thought, but we can only guess.

Could be, but it could also be that they had this planned all along.

Let's think about this for a second. When the frenzy started, it was mid-April. And they needed to be caught up to mid-October to reach the 6 months goal. So the rush was to get the applications up through October processed by the end of the month. Which they pretty much did (the many RFEs sent out will trickle in to take care of bulk of the rest). Now I'm guessing they will cut back and re-allocate their resources to other pending areas left behind during the focus on getting i-129Fs caught up with this 6 month timeframe.

It goes back and forth like this regularly. The only exception was the unusually long stop they had while processing DACAs the past few months, which is why we saw the two week frenzy. I am just going to be a realist here and just hope they don't have that kind of extended stop again.

Sadly... looks like they took all the workers off K1 and moved them to H2B ranting33va.gif

No way this timing is just coincidence.. I wish we had premium processing. protest6wz.gif I would seriously pay double or even triple what corporations pay to get my petition approved in 15 days of filing

I guess I will just have to hope now that they will finish H2B's ASAP and move everyone back to K1. (Good thing is premium processing is a 15 calender day guarantee or USCIS has to return the fee. I am hoping they will finish them by the 3rd week of May and then get back to K1's.

Looks like there are 6000 some pending applications. H2B Visa Stats (Then hopefully back to K1, and no one is currently trying to submit H2B)

Yeah. I am hoping though that USCIS never slows down like it did before, and I hopeful that it won't. I believe all of our calls, letters, and complaints to them made a difference, and that they do not want that kind of mass call to action again. For that reason, I believe we'll start seeing approvals in a few days (to a week) at most. Granted, they most likely will not be 30 a day or anything like this---but, still I believe we will start seeing some. CSC is currently caught up (at least it appears that way), and therefore at least those that deserve to be next (wait wise) will be once approvals start rising again. Hey, it could even be a few later on today!
