I haven't been able to find a clear answer for this in a search. Does the I-864 need to be notarized like the I-134 did? I don't see anything on the I-864 form that says it needs to be notarized. Thanks

Are the Affidavit of Support forms required to be notarized?

No. The sponsor just has to sign the form. You should know however, when the sponsor signs an

Affidavit of Support form, he/she certifies that the information provided, transcript and/or photocopy of tax

documentation is true and correct, under penalty of perjury.

Isn't it totally weird how the I-864 is so much less serious-looking than the technically nonbinding I-134??

Indeed

The newest I-864 is NOT notirized!

However, include 3 years works of tax returns AND W2s even though it says 1 year. There have been a TON of RFEs for only 1 year of tax returns and W2s. (or lack there of tax returns and W2s.)

If you request your tax transcripts from the IRS you only need those, but I would still do 3 years worth.

Trust me, I know! I had the RFE for only send 1 years worth!

We received an RFE too, on our I-864. I sent them only one year as per the instructions. I sent them the IRS transcripts with the RFE and that has apparently satisfied them as they have resumed processing our case. Maybe it depends on the type of employment? Just guessing, ok?

Most likely due to people at USCIS "not reading the memo". FYI I submitted only my last 1040 and W2, forgot to include my 1099 (only about $80, but still) and didn't include an employment letter and got no RFE or even any questions about it at interview. Not only that but I was self sponsoring, as my wife is a penniless student!
