Yes, it is embassy specific...for the Philippines as well, the case # is almost worth it's weight in gold, as you can then pay for and schedule an embassy interview and go to do the medical exams without having to wait for the file to reach the embassy.

Check your regional forum embassy guides for more information, as I only know my fiancee's countries' steps (I'm selfish that way).

hey there :) i just got my MNl# today so can my fiance set up an interview dte now? And what does he need to do,does he need to call the embassy? Sorry too much questions :( thank you!!!

Wow this thread has grown! Haven't posted in a while but I've got great news.. we got our case number on monday the 6th! I've actually been away for work training and so my lovely fiancee took over the task of calling NVC daily from the Philippines. On monday in between my training she called me and told me the good news! And to top it off, by wednesday evening she already had an interview appointment.. despite our case still not yet arriving at the USEM. That's just how awesome my mahal is! dancin5hr.gif

To those who are still waiting.. hang in there! Took us almost 3 weeks from our NOA2 before we got our case number.

hi there :) did ur mahal called up the embassy at manila to schedule an interview date or they schedule every person random dates?thank you :)

See hanks guide : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/261031-some-useful-links/?p=6217033

But in a nutshell, download and print the payment order (for each applicant if K2), pay the fee at BPI (the same day as the printout will expire), you then schedule the interview online or by phone.

hi there smile.png did ur mahal called up the embassy at manila to schedule an interview date or they schedule every person random dates?thank you smile.png

You have to call the US Embassy to set your appointment. You can also do this online. Make sure that you've already paid for the fees at BPI before you call though. Also, make sure that your case arrives at the Embassy before your scheduled interview. Good luck!
