Please help if anyone has any idea about these issues

1.If I apply for a reentry permit, how much time it takes to get it? Should I wait till I get or I can leave US before getting it?

2. If I get renetry permit and stay outside US for around 1.5 years(to take care of family things), then how do I file tax return? As I would not be working in US what tax return should I file?

3. while staying outside US, as I dont own a house, so if I dont rent an apartment is it fine. As for that period I wont have a house and utilities in US. As I wont be in US for long period I dont want to rent a house.

Really confused , please help..

It can take up to 90 days to get a re-entry permit, you can leave the USA for period of less than a year, the permit is needed for longer.

You need to file returns when out side of the country. I would look at the FAQ's on the IRS website. http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq13.html

You need to maintain domicile in the U.S.A. , I would see if you can "Move" to a friend or family home in the states, You need to file an AR-11 form to show moving and claim that address on your taxes.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
